    WOW!

I have managed to watch first 2 episodes as they appear in my D+: Sith and Screecher's Reach.

Although all episodes can be seen in any order. As thread says, beware spoilers.

    Wow.

How both works build great and compelling stories in 12-15 minutes is so incredible. And surprised for the level of darkness in both.

Sith is what happens when you mix art, Star Wars and the dark side of the Force. The duality in creation (and art) and destiny in a very artistic and imaginative way with all SW essence in it. And the music gives and epic vision of it. I was not sure about this one and really surprised me. The voices of catalan actress Ursula Corberó and the powerful voice of spanish actor Luis Tosar are just amazing.

Screecher's Reach is a classic tale from The Secret of Kells and Song of The Sea creators. So profund, so deep, so sad. It's so dark, menacing and captivating with an incredible, creepy and powerful sound music and effects that plays with the unexpected destiny of the young girl. Incredible approach and totally unexpected and beautiful end.

    Wow.

Goosebumps both. Visually so iamginative and captivating.

3 and 4, In the Stars and I Am Your Mother have a little more light in it. Both with the family as their principal aspect.

While the first is really great how shows another exemple of the impact of the Empire over a planet and its people and resources, the Aardman one is the funniest, centered in a colorful Pod-Race tribute with a good rhythm and its classic studio style.

Both have a couple of incredible music themes in it too (a part from the mother listening Death Metal XD).

So far, all episodes can coexist in the same univers in different eras.

I've watched the entire show and I think I enjoyed it more than the first season. Screecher's Reach and The Pit broke my heart. The art of Sith, Spy Dancer and Aau's Song was exceptional. The only thing I didn't like in the entire season was Rani, little Force sensitive jerk, from The Bandits of Golak which was otherwise lovely - I adored how Indian culture was incorporated into SW world. However, Rani was the worse type of child character, doing everything contra logic and her brother's advice, I wanted to shake her (and more).

I will have to re-watch the season tomorrow to write more. What a burden would that be... :p

    Cool! That's fast :)

Had to work so couldn't watch all. Just wacthed 5 now.

Am with you with the quote. Am already enjoying this season more.
I will read the rest of your message when I finish all episodes XD

After episode 5, definetly I think LF requirement for this season was THE DUALITY in every studio vision.

3 of the first 5 has a lot of duality, a lot of internal fight, deep thoughts and doubts. Absolutely love it.

Oh man and the animation in 5 is so anine classic and so cool. Loved t too.

At this point all 5 have been so imaginative and original and I would love to see more of some of them, or in upcoming movies or shows see some little references.
So far has appeared original villains, ships, speeders, food and drinks, planets, spaceports... Love all of it.

I am sipping on this like a fine whisky. I must agree, just three episodes in, it's feeling even better than volume 1.

Sith is amazing. A beautiful story and stunning visuals. I love how The Light is characterized by so many vibrant colors while The Dark is just black... I also love the idea that she left The Dark and the Sith to live in The Light, since we usually only see folks going the other way. Just overall a great story that left me wanting to see more of the characters and see what's next.

    Incredible.

Just finished season 2 and I just can't be more happy.

The amount of original stories, palettes, inner treatments, compelling experiences and incredible animations have blown me away.
This season 2 has been more like Love, DEath & Robots meets Star Wars, giving to studios from all the world the oportunity to show their styles and stories and animations. And simply loved it.

After Aau's song i just could be so emotional for this little trip. Has been short but so full of emotions and experiences. I think first season was not that deep and that's why this season 2 has been better for me. Haven't been bored in a single episode. One important thing is chapters being between 14 and 21 minutes. Well done, you can make and built good stories and characters to care about.

You had my first 5 episode little opinions.
The rest. Captivating as well cause the stories have been told so good. And majority of them could fit perfectly into official canon cause all shorts have given refreshing ideas but perfectly understandable in the SW univers.

I tought I wouldn't like The Spy Dancer but man what a story too with also a classic old animation (more europeen) and brilliant well told. Again, duality in characters.

The Bandits of Gulak is what happens when you mix indian culture with SW. So original and refreshing, with another great villain (a kind of new inquisitor) and incredible music.

Kind of agree. In some points remembered me a classic Clone Wars or Rebels episode with that classic character but certainly the animation and the colours and the originality have more weight in the story and that end is unexpected and epic that it was not a major problem.

The Pit is so cruel, so compelling, with a mindblowing idea. Wow.

And works as a companion of Aau's song for the Kyber treatment. Seems all episodes have had some kind of connection and treatments by blocks.
This last one also gives another interesting and huge dimension to kyber crystals and really interesting cultures to explore. And the animation infinite cute.

All the music in every chapter has been so original and different. Incredible and epic themes. Loved it too.
Just can applaude this season 2. Brilliant and mesmerizing work full of very deep stories.

I am Your Mother was hilarious. Especially Wedge peddling his products. This story was definitely set post ROTJ - it is set in Hanna City, capital of Chandrila, which was the first seat of the New Republic. I love how Visions can go anywhere, anytime.

It is conventional, so it might be the least liked out of this set.

    That's a discover XD

After my second viewing of The Spy dancer, just realised the episode used, in a bigger scale, and old Star Wars vintage figure that never appeared in films. Mini rig MTV-7! Not this photo but still have mine!
And finally we see the official real use of that weird wheel's mechanics :)

That's crazy cool! I just do not remember that toy. I had the Wampa, both Tauntans, the Rebel gun turret set, snowspeeders, etc... But I can't remember ever seeing that one. Awesome catch.

I know that has to be $$$$ due to it being abandoned from not Empire/Hoth, but ROTJ. Wow. Yes the vehicle is so impractical in the toy version, not vintage wise that's for damn sure. In the images underneath they're pretty large in scale for small transports. They look like big steam rollers ready to make all who resist one with the new asfault.

    Edit

In general, this thread has me super stoked to see this series. Some of the comments are off the charts.

It is very very good. The emotion and the heart is so much in every short. They really outdid themselves this season.

I am your mother rewatch. The whole episode is full of little references here and ther: T-16 Skyhooper, X wings, porgs, Leia's bikini, Amidala ship, Gamorrean figures.... Wedge's shop is in fact a SW museum XD

But just discovered this in protagonist home. Wallace and Gromit rocket from A grand day out!!

That's cool! I bet there more references from Aardman movies.

Still have mine since then in my collection :) Already i think I have 2 of them.

    Indeed. Very deep season.

PD My only regret is selling (my only SW sell, just needed the money) a Twin Pod Cloud Car vintage sealed box I bought already as an adult. I always thought if that cool ship appears again in a movie or show it could gain valour. But... I had to...

    Yeah :(

I bought really cheap in the early 2000. I had a great deal but sure the value was far far bigger (as it was not mine from childhood, it had not the same emotional attach like the rest of the collection). My only sealed toy. The rest is loose and open boxes. Still hard to sell.

Yep. The inside of the man cave must be fashioned to resemble the interior of an exogorth. (falcon 2)(han)(leia)(luke)(c-3po)(artoo)

    That's a perfect analogy! :)

I thought Sith was amazing too. For some reason, the stunning artwork took me back to the glory days of Heavy Metal magazine.

This is a great season so far. The Japanese are NOT afraid acknowledge the importance of balance. Every episode doesn't just end in light side energy. The dark side is held in the same regard.....is the overall lesson I get from many of the episodes.

I have mix feeling, enjoyed most but few but on the ending.

My favourite are 1, 3, 4 but dislike the ending of 2 and 7 and 8.

Dislike the ending of 2 and 7 cos on 2nd girl have leave her friends behind and in 7, a girl have to leave her brother behing even he got his sister's flute, I know this episodes are one off, but been thinking will they ever met again? Also ep 8 is horriful as an Empire member throw an main character to his death trying to save his people and look for help.
