What do you want out of SOLO?

A fun romp in a galaxy far, far away.

Hey, I'm just a simple man making my way in the galaxy.

 

JABBA.

I just need to see a cool looking Jabba again. The CGI Jabbas in the prequels and SE are just dreadful. While Id prefer a puppet just like ROTJ, I think it can be done satisfactorily with modern CGI.

Also, a fun, well made film

Or maybe I'll write a 490 page screen play here and then go watch the movie, because.....well....I dunno.

 

Here's how I feel this movie could be great: start with Han having a heart of gold and "mind of his own" (so you have a "good guy" main lead) and then have somebody (Qi'ra most likely) betray him, so he'll become the cynical Han we meet in AHN. It would both help the movie financially (for example, an a-hole who shoots first is not somebody your bring you kids to the cinema to see), work great as a character drama and also will enhance Han's ark from ANH (thanks to people like he managed to go back to being "himself").
That's what I would want anyway.

 

Lighthearted fun. After R1 and TLJ we had two serious SW movies in a row now it's time to relax and enjoy a fun adventure

Yes that is true haha. But even in Ep4 and 5, he's still a pretty rude person lol. But I like Han's edge in the original trilogy

 

This is perhaps what I want most out of Solo - a Star Wars movie that isn't about monumental events that have Galaxy wide implications. I want a different kind of story - not just in tone like Rogue One (understandably given the premise). If they are going to make Star Wars movies every year, I don't want every one of them to be epic in scope.

I'm also hoping Kasdan captured Han's voice as well as he has in the past, even without Harrison Ford. If you can read the script, and hear Han's voice in your head, then it's going to be a lot easier to accept a new actor in the role.

I just want a fun, action packed & fast paced film which adds meaningful story content to characters I know & love already. The Solo comic helped do this & so far I’m liking what I’m seeing & reading about the film

 

Simply a fun adventure movie like ANH. Also Han and Chewie pulling off crazy stunts. Would love to see some friendly banter between Han and Lando too.

 

I just want a fun summer blockbuster that gives us the reasons of how overall Han is a genuinely good person at heart, but what caused him to be tighter and why he may have trust issues later in the original trilogy and beyond. He's constantly fighting himself and I think showing that within a younger Han may also be a great crossover and make sense.

 

I have a hunch we will see that type of Han but also that type of Lando. We're gonna see from the very start that Lando and Han are rough working together, I think. Lando and Han are gonna have their differences but they'll end up getting whatever job needs to be done -- done. A middle age Han and middle age Lando were in a rough patch in Ep5, so I think it's safe to say the younger version of the 2 could be even more so

 

With all the controversy behind this film, I hope it surprises and amazes the audience. I hope it makes a billion dollars at the box office so it will pave the way for an OB1, Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt standalone films.

My expectations are low for this film, I haven't heard Lando speak, so I'm still a bit pessimistic about Glover and his performance, I tend not jump on the hype train when people get so excited for an actor, OH GLOVER LOOKS GOOD AS LANDO, mehh, I'm still waiting for the next trailer and the final product to judge whether Glover did a good job as Lando, I hope I'm pleasantly surprised when I do see it

 

Alot of good blasting & good Han comedy.

 

The Solo movie needs to start in a run down bar with the Falcon sitting on side, an Old Han looking at Chewie and asking "Do you remember when we got her Chewie?" Then it becomes a movie hitting the major questions, Jabba debt, Lando and getting the Falcon. This way we could still Ford in it and the new guy.
