Hey guys, so what is your favorite animated classic Disney musical? There are so many classic Disney musicals that we have watched growing up as kids. Which ones did you like the best? Sadly, there are so many so I could not include everyone in the list below but I did my best. There were a couple that I went back and forth about adding in the list like with the movie Tarzan, there is singing in it but none of the characters sing themselves. We only hear Phil Collins in the background. I may be wrong, haven't watched the movie in ages haha. I mainly wanted to include the classic animated Disney movies where the characters actually broke out in song themselves.

    Here is my list:
    Aladdin
    Mulan
    Frozen
    Beauty and the Beast
    The Lion King

I'd probably go with Pinocchio. Followed by Alice in Wonderland. Followed by The Lion King.

...and Frozen seems out of place on that list. Get those newfangled 3D toons off my lawn!!!

"Beauty and the Beast" has a very special place in my heart, since it was one of two films I learned all the songs from, to perform in my junior-high school choir. I'm also a very hopeless romantic, and emotionally-driven most of the time. While I lied many aspects of the live-action retelling, I think Disney missed the mark on a few points...especially the depictions of Gaston & LeFou.

The Lion King, though from what I've seen, The Hunchback of Notre Dame looks really good too.

I love the way "Be our Guest" is presented in the 2016 Beauty & the Beast.

    Lion King
    Aladdin

It's not that I dislike the others, but as a boy these were the only ones that stuck with me and I found myself drawing the characters. If you take away "musical" as a required category then my Disney animated favorites list grows larger.

Beauty and the Beast. My favorite song is "Human Again", it's so lively! (pun half intended)

Lion King for the win! The soundtrack is just beautiful and so well done. In fact, it is by far my favorite animated movie I ever saw.

Does Hercules count as a classic yet?

If so, I feel old, but it's my submission nevertheless! :p

It was very difficult for me, but went with BATB. The Lion King is my overall favorite movie, but musicalwise, i think Beauty and the Beast is the better musical. I also really enjoy the Alan Menken songs & score a little bit more than the Lion King one (but not much).
