    I love these ones. All are really good quotes. My favorite of yours is the one for TESB. Great line during a great scene. I love when he used the force on the laser bullet. That was really cool. So when he said, “We would be honored if you would join us,” it was slightly eerie and cocky in a way. Anyway, great picks.

    I love how tragic it is. When you reflect upon it, it doesn't actually convey whether or not the Dark Side has tangible power, but that Vader is manipulated... that's where the power lies. It's the sort of line that grows in meaning when you see how the resolution comes about: Luke doesn't "overpower" the Emperor, nor does Vader (er, Anakin), but he overcomes the chains that had enslaved him for so long and finally defeats his master and is finally set free...
    ... and Obi-Wan and Luke's hope is proven true, Anakin is alive. And as he becomes one with the Force, truly alive.

    Well said. It also helps paint a line between the light and the dark if you think about it. I feel, in a way, it implies that the dark side is more about power whereas the light is more from emotion. Those who follow the light act more based on others. Like Luke knew the good in vader was there. Really powerful what you said about Luke destroying the chains that enslaved vader. What are you, some poet? Maybe not. But definitely a brilliant man.

    This is my favorite quote, im my favorite movie of all time. Just amazing. There are many, many brilliant Vader quotes, but the build up to this scene, the lighting/color, the tension, the emotion, the way that JEJ says those lines.....absolute perfection.

    The ‘yet’ has such venom!

    Is there anything in Canon as to why Vader spoke almost, more poetically, after becoming Vader ? Does that make sense ? Anakin rarely has these intelligent/dramatic one liners or turn of phrase. Yet he’s fluent 24/7 dramatic badass as Vader

    We last see Anakin at 22. Vader is 44 in ESB. That’s a lot of hard living in between those two points. Makes enough sense to me his habit of speech would change in that time.

    A fun exercise though is to go back through ROTS and imagine Jones delivering some of Christensen’s lines. “His fate will be the same as ours” I can picture with the same cadence coming from the mask.
