    Eughhhh!!! This is hard!

I love so many of the new canon items already!

In the end I had to go with the Adult Novels. Even though I absolutely adore Lost Stars and would totally have its babies, and Rebels is really, really good, I couldn't justify giving either medium the "best" slot on the strength of one entry alone. I think that the novels are fairly consistently high quality (even if Heir and Aftermath were tiny dips), and are exploring interesting parts of the Star Wars canon in a interesting manner across most every time period (also why I almost gave the comics the crown).

I have not been reading the books or playing the video games, but I am enjoying Rebels on television and the comics so far. They have made me excited for the movie.

It wasn't really listed, but I think my overall favorite thing about the new canon is that it's all been pretty cohesive so far. Aftermath and/or Lost Stars (can't remember now, lol) had a reference to the events that are happening in Uprising, and I believe at least one of them referenced Fulcrum from Rebels as well. Love how all the different media types are actually being woven together as a single entity.

I remember how weird it was in the EU when "Katarn" was mentioned in a book as one of the existing jedi. Whereas the games certainly gave that credibility, the state of the EU was such that it was actually jarring when I first read about it, because most of the media types just ignored each other. Love that the story group is helping to blend it all together :)

As for my vote, I've enjoyed the comics more than the novels thus far, though I have honestly enjoyed all of them to one degree or another. Hoping this season of Rebels is even better than the first...

Yeah, since the "New Canon" reshuffle and the new material coming out, I have to say that to me it's a toss-up between the comics and Rebels. I've read the novels and have not been terribly impressed with their delivery...which is slow and boring, but the comics and Rebels are quite vivid...although only take place during the OT.

Now if there was a television show (animated or otherwise) as well as comics that took place AFTER ROTJ....now THAT would be something. No doubt in my mind that they're coming! :)

I have enjoyed most of it to some degree. My favorite thing in the new canon so far is definitely Lost Stars though, its one of my favorite Star Wars books period, including all of the Legends books I read back in the day. I seriously can not recommend it enough to those that may have been somewhat disappointed with other novels in the new canon so far.

Additionally I have really enjoyed most of the comics, all of the series so far, other than the Leia mini series, have been either great, or at worst solid.

Rebels has been pretty great as well, not quite as good as TCW was at the end of the show, but better than than the first couple seasons of TCW imo. I especially loved the Darth Vader focused episode that kicks off season two.

As far as video games go, Uprising is alright at this point, but there really isn't much to the story yet. I certainly look forward to seeing some more story focused Star Wars games as time goes on(would love to see another RPG like KotOR).

The comics, because they're taken seriously and they're well-told. I even like the Kanan comic so far for that reason—even though I'm not a fan of that Rebels TV show on Disney XD. The comics feel Star Wars. They're cinematic, and they keep you guessing. Mostly everything that happens is believable. I'm pretty much just sticking to the comics for now.

Except Claudia Gray's novel(s). I can't wait for more from her.

I absolutely loved the three junior novels! They were fast-paced, perfectly captured the Star Wars atmosphere, stayed true to the characters and had some nice hints for Episode VII. The only downside (and that's a stern warning for anybody who wants to pick them up) is the artwork at the beginning of each chapter. It depicted some heavy spoilers for the ensuing chapter, and I'd highly recommend to read the chapter first and then go back to marvel at the art.

I voted for Rebels. I've liked the (adult) books so far and I don't read the comics, but in my opinion Star Wars is best when it's watched. Rebels has done a great job so far.

Rebels has been great since Kanan brought Ezra to the secluded temple where first he envisioned the Inquisitor, but then was approached by the voice of Yoda. I thought that was great, and have been hooked ever since. Ezra seems to be maturing in his personality, and when Kanan or Ezra use the force you can feel the meditation and concentration behind it. My favorite Star Wars moments are from when a character is talking about the force, and you can feel the conviction in their words. It makes you believe the force is real for a tiny moment.

The comic books are great as well. I had not read a comic book in over a decade and I have read all new canon comics, lol. Was Han really married before? We're Poe Dameron's parents really at the battle on Endor? Was Darth Sidious really a vegan?

Boba Fett kicks ass in Star Wars comic and Luke was very lucky
Seeing young Kanan flee for his life is great
Lando is very slick in his comic
The Vader comic shows a smart, calculating Vader crossing the emperor

    Rebels and the comics! FTW

I think everything has been pretty solid so far, but the novels are my least favorite aspect. Not because they're bad (they aren't) but because I feel like they're treading water. The stakes have gotten really low since the de-canonization of the EU. The comics are great, though, and so was "Lost Stars."

Although I have been enjoying the novels for the most part, I agree with you somewhat on them just treading water. While I love the fact that everything is being canonized going forward, everything being canon means they have to be much more cautious with what they allow in anything outside of the films. They can't show anything to important in the other forms of media because they can't count on fans to have read, played or watched every bit of canon material. That isn't to say that we can't get plenty of more great material in the other forms of media, but I fear that the scope of such stories will have to be mostly limited in order to avoid stepping on the toes of areas where the films may want to go.

Aftermath was fun and interesting but Lost Stars makes me vow to never buy a Star Wars novel again. Well except for the sequel to Aftermath.
The comics are entertaining but I can't think of these stories as any more canon than even the old Marvel comics. Like Lost Stars I feel there is way too many nods and winks and recycling of plot points, characters and narratives.
Sorry for the sudden bold use of bold but I can't be arsed to do anything about it.

    Anyway. Star Wars!!!!

I think Rebels is head and shoulders above everything else. Of the novels, I've read Lords of the Sith, Tarkin and Aftermath. I enjoyed them all, though Aftermath comes in third.

I liked Shattered Empire but felt it was too rushed and could have been a longer series told in arcs.

Star Wars Rebels and it's associated comic and novel (Kanan, A New Dawn) have been my favorite of the new canon so far.
