    Hey guys!

So as some of you know I have a YouTube channel dedicated to Disney. In the past two years I have been posting Teasers/Trailers/TV Spots for The Force Awakens and Rogue One.

This year however I took a break. What was the reason? I wanted to go in as blind as possible knowing as little as possible! I allowed myself to watch the first two Trailers and I listen to Collier Jedi Council to get some news as they don't go too deep into spoilers.

On Nov 30 2015 I uploaded a video entitled "Star Wars The Force Awakens Chronological Order Special Edition (All Footage In Order To Present)" taking all the footage from every Trailer and TV Spot to date and putting it in the order I thought the scenes would play in the movie. This was done fifteen or so days before the movie came out. So how did my guesses go? I would say about 85%? I almost wonder if I would have enjoyed The Force Awakens and Rogue One a bit more going into it blind then watching every bit of footage released from the movie and putting it online or in order in these videos.

SWNN, Nerdist https://nerdist.com/the-force-awakens-gets-an-updated-chronological-trailer/ and Business Insider http://www.businessinsider.com/star-wars-trailers-chronological-order-2015-12 all covered the video which was really nice of them to do. And while it was really neat for it to do so well, as did the Rogue One TV Spots/Trailers that I posted, I believe I made the right choice in taking The Last Jedi off.

So I am wondering, am I the only one? What have you allowed yourself to watch? Are you like me and just a few Trailers here and there? Or are you like I was for Rogue One and The Force Awakens and you watch every bit of footage you can get your hands on? Would love to hear what the Cantina Community has to say.

    Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

I've seen the "Kylo failed you" mini trailer, (that trailer music :). How many spots are out now? Like 20? lol. I'm avoiding them like the plague, too much I think but nothing but love for anyone who's seen them all.

I don't know how many i have watched now, but it's too many. I have seen at least 5, and i think that was too much, and now there seems to be about 20 of them out there? They add like 2 seconds of new footage to each of them, so it's not like they are showing the entire movie or anything, but I doubt anyone is going to go and see the movie because of these TV spots. Everyone knows it's coming out, and the trailers showed enough.

I always try to stay away from as much as I can. Sadly, nowadays it's not only about not watching the video, because when there's a new spot, people on social media and YouTube start bombarding you with screencaps and thumbnails showing the new stuff.

Anyway, for TFA and RO I watched a lot (still not even majority of what they put out) and I regretted it. For TLJ I tried to be strong and watch nothing after the main trailer, but... well, it didn't work out. I saw 2 TV spots (Awake and Tempt), but I'm lucky, because they were amazing and added to my hype. At the moment I feel quite comfortable with the amount of stuff that I've seen.

Not me. GIMME ALL THE FOOTAGE! Thankfully, the TV spots reveal basically nothing and serve only as extensions of trailers. So, even though I've seen all of them I feel like I don't really know that much about the film.

Because I bookmarked the thread "Star Wars The Last Jedi Trailers and TV Spots" I've seen 20 trailers .

    I slowly come to saturation.
Always the same sentences, always the same images, with just - as noticed @The Last Jorgny - a little bit of new stuff each time : quickly, I've been surexposed, hoping finding something new with every new TV spot, being quite disappointed every time.

I've heard "fullfill.... your... destiny..." at least 50 times : it didn't bored me one month ago, it does now.
I've heard "something inside me.... has always been.... now it's awake" a dozen of dozen times. I'm almost certain now of what Rey is speaking about - and it bothers me.
Same for some sequences: I've seen some of them so much, that I barely know what will happend just before (or just after). For example, I think into the "rock scene" where Rey, practising, firmly stops its lightsaber just close to the rock. If you've seen the 20 TV spots, well, somewhere you've seen what happens just right before that scene. And I'm angry to have been spoiled, 'cause it hints me too much about Rey, and 'cause I would have preferred to discover it directly on screen.

Too much is too much. [IMG] I'm afraid I won't be as pleased as expected when I get this or that on screen - because I've been spoiled SO MUCH so far. Terrible!

Even if I still have no idea of the global pitch, I'm already fed up.
Too much teasers, too much TV spots, too much star wars, still too much Dark Vader in the supermarkets (Darth Vader IS DEAD!!!). I hope I will succeed in saving some interest for the 15th. I should disable now my youtube account, my Cantina account, along with 2 or 3 more forums accounts, ...

Agreed with daRinze, there have been too many TV spots which are all the same thing, repeated. Well, Rian did give out a list of things Disney can and cannot promote in the marketing so I understand why. However, you got to have faith man! On the 15th, we are going to get 2 hours 32 minutes worth of Star Wars, and the trailers and TV spots have only showed approximately 4-6 minutes of footage ( on repeat ) or even less. I am going offline after the premiere onwards, just to keep myself safe from spoilers.

The Last Jedi couldn't come any sooner, as we are on the last stretch!

    RESIST IT, @The Next Skywalker

Sincerely : whatever you could be told about "something new" in this or that, WILL BE DISAPPOINTING.
Some will say "a TOTALLY NEW IMAGE OF BENICIO DEL TORO", other will shout "A TOTALLY NEW STUFF OF THE PORGS"... so, you become quite feverish (we understand), and you start to click&click nervously the "play" button...

    ... and then : "fulfill......... your...... " - oh sh*t, I've already heard that...
... and then : "we'll be the spark (tadaaaaaaam) that will light (blonk blonk tadaaaaaaaaa) the fire (brooooooooom tadaaaaaaa tsoin tsoin) on the" - OH SH*T (yes, twice!), I've already heard that...
... and then Chewie moan talks, and then the porg "grwiiiiii grwiiiiiii" - OKAY I'VE ALREADY seen that... what the hell IS NEW ?
... and then "I was raizd to fight" (oh! let me meditate - I guess we've already heard that, in episode VII, didn't we?) "for da first time I have tom'tin to fight for" ah OK what a surprise!
... and precisely the moment you're going to blow, out of spite, A MA GAAAAAAAD [IMG] : one milli-second of Benicio del Toro - you know, exactly the same you've already seen him in every paper: sitting from left to right - just, this time he has one closed eye, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
This is the "totally new image" they said you.

    Ilham said it perfectly:
that's true. WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN ALL WE WERE AUTHORISED TO SEE before the movie drops. We have NOTHING TO LEARN MORE.
For my part, I've lost my faith. It's urgent that I stop EVERY BIT of communication from Disney/LFL related to Star Wars.
You should do the same ;)

Eventhough I tend to do the opposite (addicted to spoilers, leaks and death-sticks) I understand that choice, we don't know how much of a twist there will be but I bet this movie is indeed gonna be quite surprising.
I think it also depends on the type of spoilers : detailed scenes or plot points, knowing about the story (all of it) in an overview style wouldn't ruin the movie but knowing about all the scenes in their details and dialogues even if it's blurry storywise would piss me off.

For this movie, people are impressed with how hard it is to match all the scenes but maybe you'd be able to piece everything together who knows.
I know a lot of people who are just like you though, it takes discipline.

    Have a wonderful monday too

    You did well @Ridcully
Sincerely, there is actually nothing so important in the ~20 TV Spots I've seen, that wasn't in the main trailer, and usefully blew my mind.

I've only scene I think two of the TV spots. And that was when they happened to come on when I was watching TV. I have not searched any out, and don't want to see them. I don't want to get tired of TLJ before it even comes out!

I also have been avoiding magazine articles and all the press stuff that LFL has been doing recently. I just don't want/need to see it. I want to be surprised in the theater!

Another observation - I am oddly calm about this moving coming out. Don't get me wrong, I very much look forward to seeing it, but I know it will come in due time. Maybe this comes with age. Maybe it is that we are getting a new movie every year now, so no need for the ultra-excitement. Whatever the reason, I know I will be totally psyched when the lights go down in the theater!
