Will ???? be in Ep IX ???? The Last Jedi spoiler..

Given that J.J. thought a Knights of Ren spin-off would be cool, I'd say they're 99% in IX.

 

I think so. I have a feeling that JJ is going to do more of the exploration of events that many people thought TLJ would do. TLJ was more of a character exploration and less of an event film. I think IX is going to be more in line with what people were expecting in TLJ and then I think a lot of people will be more accepting to what TLJ did as opposed to didn't do.

 

If we are going to see more KoR (i hope we will) we are going to see more Snoke background !!!

If he had done that, Rey would have blinked and said, ‘Who?’ And the scene would have gone on.”

Before moving on himself, Johnson quickly added, “And I’m not saying he’s Darth Plagueis!”

 

It would make sense for them to crop up again, and it would certainly provide an opportunity to explain just WTF happened to Ben Solo.

 

I don't even give a flip about the Knights of Ren anymore. And why does Kylo Ren even need protection?

Yeah, if it pertains to this. I think they might be the ones that followed him from Luke's pupils.

 

Whilst I want to know this too, I want us to explore this a bit further: how important is it that we know what exactly happened with Ben?

It’s at, the very least, implied in the Aftermath trilogy that Snoke has been attempting to manipulate him from his conception, and we know that by the time Ben was with Luke and Luke explored his mind that Snoke has completely turned Ben’s heart. It’s implied that Ben and those who joined him then went on to kill those who did not, and they joined up with Supreme Leader Snoke at some point.

Unless there’s some big piece of the puzzle missing from the larger picture (perhaps how Kylo and the others found and met Snoke would be interesting to see) that we have no idea about, what else do we exactly want to know about Ben’s fall? I think TLJ told us enough that we don’t have to necessarily return to past events unless, as I said, there’s some puzzle piece missing.

 

With the death of the praetorian guards, Knights of Ren can take their spot.

 

It would make sense if they were like the Praetorian Guards for Kylo Ren. Snoke called him the "master of the Knights of Ren" in The Force Awakens, and now that Snoke is out of the picture, it would make sense to reintroduce them (although they were completely absent from The Last Jedi, so their presence in Episode IX would have to make sense).
