    JJ Abrams has used them a lot in the past to promote his films and to tease out photos and video clips... to share with hardcore fans. Disney did a great one for the TRON reboot.

    I'm hoping they do one for EP VII. Thoughts?

    Alternate Reality Game = ARG

    Flynn Lives was one done for Tron. It involves missions, games, events (usually at a Comic Con) codes, puzzles. They can be really fun. I took part in the Flynn Lives and actually got a package with a cool Tron pin mailed to me. They aren't always linked to moveis, sometimes videogames sometimes a book. Sometimes they're just done for fun.

    Oh okay. I used to work with someone who did the Tron one at SDCC. I wasn't aware of the acronym.
