SPECULATION Wookie chemistry, can Chewie be a Solo.

I think he'll be "lost" when we first see him in VIII but then he'll be given a new purpose in life such as being the new guardian for Luke's Jedi Temple, leading the resistance when/if Leia is injured...but Rey, with her powers, sure doesn't need any protection
.

 

I think he will still serve his life debt except to Leia Organa. He was with her when Han was in carbonite, he will be with her again moving forward; I do think he will also be by Rey's side so I can see a debt being served on two fronts.

 

Yeah I think he's inherited the falcon instead of Rey .

 

Right now I can see him hanging out with Rey or Finn.
Maybe Lando will come back or Nien Nunb, both know the falcon.
All the possibilities - my favourite one is:
Chewie and Nunb are boarding the falcon, just think about the crazy conversation sounds in the cockpit.
I would pee my pants.

might be interesting to know for the purpose of this conversation that it seems as if Chewie was back home with his family (and not with Han) while Han was married to Leia.

not that i want to see him vanish now. i'm hoping he sticks with the Falcon and whomever ends up piloting it in the long-run; Finn? Poe? not sure it will be Rey.

 

He is going to put bolts from the bowcaster through both of Kylo Ren's kneecaps, rip of his arm and beat him to a slow, bloody death with it and keep beating him until what happened to his old friend doesn't hurt anymore. Plagueis himself won't be able to stop Ren from dying at the hands of our beloved Wookiee. There will be no Wookiee roar or John Williams music playing in the background as it happens. Only determined silence. And a pool of blood.

As for Chewie, I don't know. At first I thought he was going to be hanging with Rey, but the more I think about this, I am not so sure. I could see it happening. If Rey goes traipsing across the universe without Luke, she could have Chewie with her. At first I thought she would be accompanied by BB-8, but at the end of TFA she had R2, not BB-8. BB-8 may go back to Poe. Does Rey end up hanging with R2? Or Chewie? Or BB-8? I don't know, but I would think if she is hanging with a sidekick, it would be only one. I couldn't see it being Rey, Chewie AND R2, for example. That is just too much weight. But who knows where they will take the story?

 

BB-8 is definitely Poe's. That was obvious from TFA. R2 is Luke's and will remain Luke's. I would like to see Chewbacca hang with Rey. I think they would make a cool combo and a force to be reckoned with.

 

I never stop surprising myself with the capability i have to elaborate dumb and dumber theories about Star Wars, just follow my thoughs on Chewie.....

Chewie, to me and to all his close friends he remains Chewie, is devastated with Han's death and goes wandering, in is grief he delivers some really very bad things and rips plenty of arms out. But he must move to his family and so he seeks Kylo Ren. Kylo embraces his old friend Chewie and teaches him in the ways of the Knights of Ren thru the years. Until Luke Skywalker faces Kylo Ren, killing him with his lightsabre while Luke's sidekick Rey beat the crap out of old Chewie living him with deep scars and a new face arrangement. Chewie is all alone now, overwhelmed in pain he turns fully into the dark side, a Wookie must shave all his fur to go thru shame, aftrerwards Chewbacca grabs a voice modulator and go back in time trying to save is foster son Kylo Ren. When Chewie find Kylo Ren in the past this dialogue occur:
- Ben, Ben
- What???
- Don't be afraid i'm here to help you, you can call me Snoke.

 

i'm proud of you. this was priceless.

 

Rey understands him. Leia probably does. I bet he sticks around while the Resistance needs him.

 

Maybe he crashes the Millennium Falcon into the bad guys, sacrificing himself and the Falcon to save Rey, Luke, whoever.

Maybe he goes back to comfort Leia. In their shared grief, they find love and have furry little babies that are strong in the Force! Chewie and Leia raise a group of Wookie Jedi!

Or maybe he just opens Chewie's Burgers and Pizza Joint!
