I agree- it does sound a bit like 'Star Wars, as written by Steven Moffat.' Would probably work as a TV series, but in the space of one film which also needs to establish a lot of new characters / old characters with pasts we haven't been privy to / the new world order it would be far too complicated! Especially given this is to be another trilogy, no one would be able to keep up if there was too much of a mythology overload with multiple twists and turns.

 

Perfect train of thought. I love how these forums start chewing on eachother until some juicey tidbit of info comes down the pipe to chew on. Guys, we are getting a new Star Wars! Wether you like what they do or don't do you will get what you get. It will not be everything one persons heart desires but it may have some pretty amazing moments and maybe some stuff you don't much care for. Personally we can speculate forever but in the end all of us are going to see it and others like me will devour the book before we even see the film. What an exciting time to be a Star Wars junkie! Take all rumors lightly and don't expect the world. NO MORE JAR JAR! That's enough for me to go see it.

 

Totally agree and have been feeling that way about these rumours for quite some time. There's way too much going on for one movie.

 

The OT was simple. Rebels versus the Empire. Rebels defeat the Empire (or so we think in Episode VI). Simple family drama.

 

Yeah ... I've also wondered if some speculation is focused on the bigger picture (all 3) and not just one film. Could be that some details are mixed up between 7 specific and ST specific ...

 

And we are all on a website talking about it endlessly . . . so it can't be that bad.

 

I think it is part of the "kinder and gentler" theme....

Unoriginal is too close to old news I am happy to see pathetic make a come back. Perhaps a time delay or a can't give a neg till you give a positive might be helpful.

As for the recent rumors they make sense of the recent Rebel Death Star in order destroy the Empire's force sensitive detector. They also confirm a lot of what was already thought. This also establishes a rift in the rebellion those who would use the Death Star and those that would not. There is nothing that makes me scared that "just can't work." The only thing I don't like is a pacifist Stormtrooper though I like the bad aim gag. Though a pacifist should not be a fan of light sabres just as much as blasters. I really wanted Finn and Rey the Star Wars crossed lovers, "shes a rebel he's a trooper can they make it work," story. Though if Han likes Poe and then starts to hate him when he learns that Poe has a thing for Rey and slowly warms back up to him trusting him with the Falcon in the end that would be some hilarious Solo banter.

 

Hello everyone just joined the forums! Anyways I really enjoyed the recent plot rumor but I'm still skeptical about it. I hope the ancient Sith Lord if true becomes the master behind the scenes for the rest of the trilogy, it would make a great story!

I just thought of something. In the extras/crew members it listed an actress playing stilt walking droid.
