    The first (and second, and third...) time I read 'Plagueis' I thought it was a typo of something Yoda might say, ie 'deadly and dangerous plague is'- true enough, but I did wonder why this was so prevalent a statement outside of a medieval context...

    But are we looking for the history of the crystal found in Vader's red saber . . . or the crystal from the blue saber used by Anakin and the lost with Luke's hand in Cloud City???

    I believe based on the concept images we are looking for the blue crystal origin. We never actually know where Anakin got the crystal for his second light saber, he first was destroyed in AOTC and looked more like the Vader design it has a "legends back story" the second does not. So technically they could give it a back story. IE Yoda gave the crystal to Anakin or Anakin found it in the Jedi Archives... etc.

    I was just trying to look up the history of Luke's blue saber given to him by Obi-Wan. There is no link at wookiepedia that I could find - only page refers to his green.

    More interesting is that a search to Obi-Wan reveals that this particular lightsaber is mentioned but it appears the link to its page has been withdrawn - the reference is capitalized as if it were a link at one point.

    There is still a page up for anakins second lightsaber, but no mention of the crystal. No link to it through Obi-wan or Luke.

    Why would this be? Could it be that its page has been pulled for a reason?? Truth is in the details.
