SPOILER MakingStarWars Rumors and Speculation Thread (Part 1)

I used to believe, that at the very least... he believed the leaks he provided were real... and he may still believe the leaks he is saying is real.

But he is too darned emotionally invested in them...

But also, remember a while back? When he posted a bunch of "leaks" from one of his sources, because the sources name changed and he felt it discredited that source? What validated that source in the first place? Appearently nothing, so how do we know his other sources weren't similarly void-of-proof, just random people emailing him that he trusted?

He never actually... provides any real proof for any of his leaks, never states where the leak came from, he just says "I got my sources" and expects everyone to eat up what he is saying. And now that people arent believing him, he is losing his sh* like a child....

 

Thanks for doing something he was about to make me snap.

 

Jeremy Conrad is even worse than Jason.

 

I decide to avoid this thread for a day and all this happens.

Well, that’s that. Anyways, Jason was acting like a child at times, but so were some of our members. It blows my mind how many “spoiler seekers” come here, get told a possible spoiler, and freak the hell out. I don’t get it. If you don’t agree with it, you don’t, and that’s fine. When it comes down to calling out the poster and using name-calling and childish actions that’s a problem. Every time someone posts something here that makes someone else’s underwear tie up in a knot because its not “how they imagine episode 7” they berate and accuse until that person never posts again. That’s how a thread dies. It would be so simple to say. “That’s a cool spoiler/rumor. I will take it with a grain of salt, I will discuss its possibility/impossibility and then if I don’t think its true I will respectfully let it be known that I see it differently but really appreciate the possible spoiler given.” That’s how its supposed to work. I am so tired of seeing something along these lines:


“I found out Luke Skywalker has not ONE but THREE kids, via a source of mine that worked at Skellig!!”

You see how silly that is. If I get any scoops from the inside, id be fully afraid to present them to anyone around here sometimes. Lighten up on everyone. Did Jason come back against these “critics” in a way that was childish and silly? YES! By far the most silly responses to criticism I have seen, even claiming it was because he was fed up with all the negative attacks against him, and all that. Silly! However, sometimes we all just need to realize that with spoilers, there are one of two things happening.

1. Someone wants a few months of fame that will end up being debunked, they disappear, and are never credible again.
   
   
2. They are sharing what they have heard so that we hear it too and really trust a source to give them more hype as a blog/site/forum going into Spinoffs and Episode VIII

Its not like these are things we will never know. Just sit back and enjoy all the speculation and don’t everyone be so hostile. Ive seen message boards completely die because of hostility over something trivial.

Just gotta say, for all the talk of action he gets (which I'm sure his wife LOVES), the man has a picture of his balding self on the astro orbiter at Disney. This for someone who is disparaging among everyone, who bashes everyone. LOLz to MSW, he could become a legendary force like MF of the prequel days.

Dude okay, you are just being a d*ck and launching a very personal attack on his appearance and life... That was uncalled for.

 

Is htere a fan film about a street fight between star wars and trek fans? if not... why not?

(I would love to see a phaser be deflected by a lightsaber, the continous nature of the phaser beam would be cool to see deflected)

 

Let's not attack someone's appearance and personal life.

In regards to MSW, sometimes, when a person is agitated, it's not actually the one being yelled at that's really the cause. It's like an animal trapped in a toothed snare. They're in so much pain they'd lash out even at those who wouls loose the snare to free them. That worries me.

Enough insults have been tossed (and too many personal ones). I hope Jason gets back on track and focuses on what he loves rather than the messageboard he doesn't.

 

And furthermore, this is the fun part of being a Star Wars fan, and the true function of forums... to discuss, to speculate, to have friendly exchanges, sometime it can be insightful, philosophical, plain dumb and absurd... but always fun!

That's where I draw the line between websites that report spoilers, news, factual stuff and a place where people just discuss it and have fun.

When it becomes malicious, makes people unconfortable, or plain personnal... it's no longer a game and pure fan pleasure that I compare to kids speculating on what is wrapped in their Xmas gifts.

I feel like this is overused but it works.
