The end of the movie supposedly sees Rey deliver Luke's lightsabre to him but that doesn't seem like much of an ending.

The concept art for this scene looks moody and mysterious so I was thinking what if there's more to it than simply handing the weapon to him? Maybe she hands it over, Luke thanks her but it's said in an unnatural way and reveals he was the one that sent Kylo to retrieve it but has delivered something even more promising and special... Her???

Why have Rey do this rather than Finn or Poe? I'd say because she is special in some way.

Maybe it's Leia giving Luke's lightsaber before their ship enters lightspeed to a unknown destination.

 

I was looking up the definition of "heroine" and this is what I found:

"heroine (n): the chief female character in a book, play, or film, who is typically identified with good qualities, and with whom the reader is expected to sympathize."

Also, tonight I noticed some more similarities between the different trilogies which might have some bearing on the upcoming sequels.

1. A speeder is owned by the character that will be the focus of the trilogy.
PT: Anakin
OT: Luke
ST: Rey

2. There's a race to getting off the desert world when dark forces try to prevent the departure. One of the leads attempts to hold them off.
TPM: Qui-Gon holds off Darth Maul as the Naboo cruiser takes off.
ANH: Han holds off the stormtroopers at the docking bay.
TFA: ??

3. The focus character who leaves the desert world in chapter 1 returns later for personal reasons and uses their Jedi training to gain entry.
PT: Anakin returns to Tatooine in Chapter 2 to find his mother. Uses his training to quietly gain entry into the Tusken Raider camp.
OT: Luke returns to Tatooine in Chapter 3 to rescue Han and his friends from Jabba. Uses his training to mind trick Bib to gain entry.
ST: Rey??

 

2. Finn uses falcon's turrets to hold off the tie fighters.

 

Lumiya's headdress in the background? Easter egg/hat tip, nothing or foreshadowing her fall? I expect the heroine throughout, but yah never know. I don't see a lightwhip anywhere

 

I think she could be the main hero that ties everyone together. Hans daughter and twin sister of kylo. Basically the equivalent of Luke and he will teach her to be a great Jedi master. It's the perfect way to pass on the torch. Maybe she redeems her brother and new found stormtrooper friend

 

I've thinking, what happens when Rey finds out that Finn is actually a Stormtrooper? That won't go down very well.

 

She looks stoned as hell...

I guess the ST will focus on her death stick addiction.

 

How would a Jedi Mind Trick go if it was forced on a resistant receiver? Rey is supposedly tortured by Kylo when she's held captive and I was thinking instead of using short bursts of lightning, what if he got up really close to her, concentrated and focused really hard and kept saying "Tell me what I want to know" but she kept resisting? Similar to what Spock does to Valeris in Star Trek VI when he mind melds with her and tries to force information she doesn't know out of her.

 

Well most likely this will get merged into the Rey's role thread. But I still want to produce these visuals we have seen before but in theory by theory thoughts.

1.This picture has Daisy Ridley sitting in between Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher hinting out her possible role in the trilogy. Yes I know I have posted this in another thread and was flamed about it, seeing the other cast members and crew seen in the picture are related some how too. But really though Han and Leia must have had one kid, from all that time having sex after battle celebrations. We also see Daisy talking with fellow co-star Carrie, also at recent celebration the two where talking close on stage together.



2.The recent concept art of REY from the star wars celebration weekend prop gear shows her with Han Solo's famous DL44-pistol. A weapon handed down to her from her father? But then you're asking, we saw him with the pistol in the recent teaser with Chewie on the Falcon as he says "Chewie we're home!".


This next picture is Han Solo is 1977 with his DL44-pistol.


3.Do they look alike? When they cast actors for star wars, they want them look similar to the parent and so on. The website said Rey's identity would be revealed in like the third act of the movie, so what's that mean?Padme, Leia and now granddaughter Rey, I see these three looking similar here side by side.


So how close does she look alike to Harrison ford?

4.Jaina Solo, the idea that JJ Abrams has perhaps taken and molded into a story arc similar but different. We know that EU was used in the PT, so why not in the OT? JJ and Lucas spent time talking about star wars so what was talked about? So the EU is now Legendary, which means that they can take what ever they want and use it to their liking. In this case have they used Jaina Solo? Who is she?

In the EU Jaina Solo was a twin to Jacen Solo, and daughter to Han and Leia. She was a Jedi and a skilled pilot. In TFA Rey is a scavenger that collects junk and sells it and pieces together stuff to make other stuff, Rey is also a former padawan of Luke's the so called SEVEN. Reported by making star wars website Rey is caught using the FORCE to move junk, the person that sees her using the force is I believe Finn.

5.JJ Abram's factor.

A. He is a star wars fan.
B. Disney won't repeat the mistake done by Lucas.

 

She would still look like Padme even if she was not a Solo. She is Luke's mom too after all. Jaina photos I do not feel have any relevance at all to this movie.

The Inquisitor does this to Kanaan in Rebels. You get the feeling that it is arm wrestling with your brain.

 

So far we've heard Rey kicks butt in the scene with Han, Finn and Chewy and a bunch of pirates on Hans freighter. We've heard she uses the Jedi mind trick. She supposedly is revolted by the sight of Luke's lightsaber but eventually uses it and fights Kylo.

She's been trained as a Jedi!!!! She's not some non-related scavenger. She's been told to NOT use her powers or she'd be detected. Luke hid her after the academy was attacked. Leia has MVS keeping tabs on her. When the Force "awakens" she's no longer able to conceal her location. The force is too strong. Leia feels this and sends Poe Dameron to give her Luke's lightsaber and get her out of there. When Poe gets captured, she calls Han and Chewy. Finn is the wild card and gets throw into the events. All this time Kylo Ren Solo, her brother is after her to get the lightsaber and try and turn his sister to the dark side.

The lightsabers importance is still a mystery but I think that's what JJ wants. Everyone to be asking, why is this lightsaber so important? How did it get from Bespin back to Leia? Rey is repulsed by it because it killed the Jedi at the academy the same way it was used to kill the younglings.
