Old Ben Kenobi, that crazy old wizard. He was great in the Clone Wars, Rebels, Detective Kenobi in AOTC, and a very much seasoned warrior in ROTS. I enjoy playing as him in Star Wars Battlefront 2. The only good thing about that lousy game. Where's Qui-Gon Jinn, Droidekas, and where is the rest of the story by god... sorry had to rant. EA worst video game company of all time. end of rant.

Kylo. And my favorite image of him is still this one:

It's because those few seconds in the teaser tell you almost everything you need to know about the character. It's obvious that he's a darksider but not really, conflicted, confused, and ready to fight himself for better or for worse (the forest symbolizes the unconscious, and he's alone there, reacting violently to seemingly nothing, so it's very obvious what's going on with him). He's altogether very "human". And that's why he's my favorite character. Up until old Luke in TLJ (pretty realistic himself), all the other characters looked like cardboard cutouts compared to Kylo (although they were fine on their own). He was the first character to bring an element of realism to SW. Also, I think he's the key to the balance of the force, a concept that I LOVE. He doesn't belong on either (dark or light) side, and I believe that eventually he'll create a path for himself that many others will take in the future. Rey is similar to him in many ways, but not quite, so I don't think balance is her "destiny". She seems like she would do well staying entirely on the light side, so on her own, she'd perpetuate the same vicious cycle that allowed Palpatine to rise to power. I think she plays an important role in "bringing forth" the balance of the force, but but only as a counterpart, the second element in a different kind of balance. So my main hope is with Kylo. He seems destined to change everything the galaxy believed about force users and the force itself, and I'm all for that.

    - Who are they?
    HAN SOLO

    - When did they live? (If not obvious)
    You know when.

    - Why are they your favorite?
Han has always grabbed me because he has the most amount of character movement across the films, considering that he's not a superhuman with super powers, special lineages, or political clout.
He's just a guy who's been scraping to get by in a very difficult life, and he ends up time and time again putting his neck on the line for other people, and is even willing to forgive those he cares for rather quickly.
He repeatedly jumps into danger for others in the most vulnerable of ways, and chooses to focus on just the "right now" constantly, and never passes on a moment of sarcastic wit. Even when life is hard, he has a way of laughing at it.

    - Who would you love to see them fight?
I already saw it. He fought his son in the most emotional fight in the entire saga, for me. He fought him without a physical weapon in hand. I can't find another character in the series who stepped up to stop the volatile darkness with nothing in their hands but love.

    - Favorite photo of them.
    favorite picture of han solo.png

    Yeah...that right there is a bad a** f***ing Father.
He didn't fight his son, and when his son stabs him, he takes the time to still show him that he loves him before he dies.

    Cheers,
    Jayson

So both of mine are the top two posts lol.

I have to say Revan. He was everything I thought a Jedi should be. One of the original Grey Jedi and was such a huge role in the Old Republic. I love his gradual fall to the Dark Side and his redemption. I feel like Revan's story displays how corrupt the Jedi Order really is and sheds light on how it's people like him, Bastila, Qui Gon, etc. saw through the veil that was The Jedi Order.

I have to say that Han Solo is definitely my favorite character.

His character development is so solid, probably the most consistent character development throughout the story. All other characters are ostensibly good or evil, with the only change in this stance being a dramatic shift from Jedi to Sith. But Han sits somewhere in the middle: a reject of society, an outlaw, a gunslinger, and a smuggler. Yet, he is slowly pulled into the position of commander of the rebel forces. This arc and his demise in the recent films makes Han Solo concretely stick in my mind as the best example of an antihero

    1. Obi-Wan. Always loved him, since 1977 when he first appeared on screen. There was just something about him.
    1. Vader. Seriously, how can he not be a favorite?
    3. Ahsoka Tano. She is just plain awesome. Emperor Palpatine. I just love that jerk. Need I say more?
    5. Another tie, this one between Darth Maul and Kylo Ren. I love Kylo and the anger, the emotion.

Sorry, but I couldn't pick just one. :)

So many but Vader keeps me wishing for more. I’d love to see more between ROTS and New Hope.

I can't choose one. The 4 best characters in my opinion: Han Solo, Yoda, Luke Skywalker (especially in TLJ) and Darth Vader.

    Mine is Revan.

Revanchist, Sith Lord, and Jedi Prodigal. Revan represents the redemptive cycle, and is a fully realized Anakin/Vader. What makes his cult following so strong is that each player of Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) choose every line Revan said and every choice he made. So in truth all Revanites, all those who love Revan are Revan, because we were him and our choices made him either Resurgent Sith Lord or Jedi Prodigal in KOTOR. We are Revan, he exists because of us players/gamers. No character has of yet had the fan and the character be symbiotic, be one, and have a story so nuanced and a character so well developed in his mythos.

I've always had a soft spot for Obi-Wan. I didn't really care for him in the Original Trilogy but once I watched the Prequels and got into a lot of the Expanded Universe stuff I gained a lot of respect for him. Ewan McGregor and Alec Guiness were perfect for the roles, with special mentions going to Ewan McGregor making Obi-Wan the best part of the Prequels.

I also really like Grand Admiral Thrawn, since as a kid I was obsessed with the Thrawn Trilogy and read them religously. I've always thought that he stood out amongst the other Star Wars characters with his cold and cunning personality and his ability to keep the Empire running after the Battle of Endor. When the stand alone Thrawn book came out a few years ago, bringing him back into Canon I was ecstatic and made me love Thrawn even more not that I knew everything about his past and his struggle to get to the top of the Empire.

I'm really digging Asajj Ventress right now. She was quite fun in TCW, I just finished Dooku Jedi Lost, and am now onto Dark Disciple. Hopefully there's more stories of her to come! ;)

Qui-Gon for me. He wasn't just a Jedi. He was a mentor, father figure, and the only Jedi who realized the Sith were stirring once more. Born on Corruscant, Jinn had a storied Jedi career before we see him in Episode 1. His presence is felt for years after his death through Obi-Wan, his former Padawan. In fact, Obi-Wan 's mentorship of Luke was reminiscent of how Qui-Gon had mentored Kenobi.
