Wait a minute, wait a minute...

    Hold on.....

Ahsoka is reportedly showing up in The Mandolorian Season 2....stop right there....I suddenly have so many questions...

The last time we saw Ahsoka Tano, she and Sabine Wren were teaming up and setting off to find Ezra Bridger...who was in the company of Thrawn, apparently headed to the Unknown Regions at the end of Rebels, and the same year Luke blew up the Death Star...which is now 9 years later...

    1. Where is Sabine? We have Ahsoka who was WITH Sabine, last we saw, AND we have the Darksaber that Sabine trained with, AND whom was it's rightful owner at one time...
    2. Where is Ezra...did they ever find him?
    3. Where is Thrawn...I don't much care because I was never a fan, but the question remains...
    4. Why ultimately is Ahsoka there??
    a. Is she chasing the Darksaber for Sabine and her family?
    b. Is she there to retreive baby Yoda to take him to a secret group of Force users to be trained?
    c. Is she gonna be a fixture on the show as BY's "Force-nanny" of sorts?
    I thought i'd do some math to figure out some ages, as The Mandolorian takes place 5 years after RoTJ, which places it at 9 aby;

    Ahsoka would be 45.
    Sabine would be 30.
    Ezra would be 28.
Boba would be 41....same as Rex who looks older due to his accelerated aging.
    Mando would be.....[Unknown]
    The child is reportedly 50.

We have to remember when The Mando takes place, and NONE of these characters are "Old" by any stretch...just a timeline and age tidbit there...

There are SO MANY questions that can be asked with this series...with SO many different answers that could be provided...that's what I love about this show, and I have very little doubt that Favreau and the gang are having a BALL writing this series, but will we get answers that will reconcile the ending of Rebels?? The pieces appear to be on the board FOR that...but will we??

Ahsoka will be showing up to train the child as a Jedi. I think all force user have probably sensed him which is why the dark saber has shown up. I defiantly think it will be interesting see how they tie in the clone wars and rebels.

    Will we see Luke's saber?
How will Mando react to Boba's armor?
Sarlacc pit will it be mentioned or answered?
Will Ahsoka know any answers about Yoda species?
Are Ahsoka and Rex still a team?
The Hutts have been mentioned but will we see one?
Will Mando defend the child from the Jedi?

Ahsoka will not be training Baby Yoda as a Jedi, she is not a Jedi, she left the order long, long ago and is most certainly not a Jedi now. If Ahsoka and Baby Yoda were "Jedi's" which they aren't then we know their fate. They would have died in Luke's school.

We will not see Luke, that's my guess. He may be mentioned, but we will not see him.

I think Boba Fett appears for like 10 seconds, slightly longer than he appears in the original trilogy films.

This is the most interesting question. There are 2 people in the Star Wars universe we know of, probably many we do not know of, who have any chance of knowing where Baby Yoda comes from. 1)Ahsoka, and 2) Luke, who likely could just ask Yoda.

Mando will not need to defend the child. Ahsoka will explain as best she can, although the Armorer already did in the last season. Worst case scenario Sabine and Bo can smooth over any fears about the Jedi.

Boba and Jango are strange. Jango grew up on a Mandalorian planet, Boba did not. The Mandalorians do not consider him to be a Mandalorian, so my guess is the honor code amongst Mandalorians would prevent Mando from treating him well.

Ahsoka has been gone for like 25 years so we don't know if she is a Jedi or just gave up while out there.
I wanted to know if we would see Lukes lightsaber not Luke. It gets to Maz.
I think anyone attempting to do anything with the child will cause Mando to hackle up.
I do see a lot of your points. I am just wondering if they will use the show to answer some questions left open from the ST.
    I enjoy the guessing game.

How much of season 2 will be dedicated to expanding the franchise and creating new streaming series and how much will actually be dedicated to telling a good story?

That balance can be harder than you think. Clever writing can achieve both with great synergy, bad writing will make it seem like the season is just one big advertisement for future products.

I wager we'll get more questions than answers during season 2 and all kinds of unresolved plot threads to explore in future expansions. It's certainly a pivotal time for the franchise. If season 2 somehow inexplicably fails or annoys the fans, the brand could be in some very deep trouble. So the pressure is on!

I trust Filoni on this. During the run of Rebels they did a good job of mixing both together. My guess is that in the beginning of season 2 we get Mando running around to places trying to find through his sources information on where Baby Yoda may have come from. He will run into the assassin from season one, and Boba Fett during this as well. If I had to guess then Ahsoka and Sabine will come up late in the season, perhaps even the last episode. Mando will have been tracked by the Moff Gideon the whole season and finally Mando runs into Mandalorians regrouping, led by Bo Kitan. This will set up a Mandalorians revenge sort of deal for the end of season 2 and Mando will put a stop to his search to help Mandalorians take revenge against the empire.

It is during this, almost by accident that Sabine and Ahsoka will give him information about Baby Yoda which will set up a cliff hanger for season 3. Perhaps Mando has information he has gathered on Ezra, not realizing it was about Ezra and this will lead to Ahsoka and Sabine leaving after season 2 to find Ezra. So mostly the stuff we have seen leaked will come up in one or two episodes and then in the background.

    I will guess:
Ahsoka and Sabine found Ezra. Sabine and Ezra get married. Sabine dies at Thrawn's hand. Ezra goes to the dark side in taking his revenge on Thrawn and becoming a new threat to the Republic in the Wild Space/Unknown Regions, possibly teaming up with another unknown threat (maybe Yuuzhan Vong). Ahsoka returns to find help, enlists the Mandalorians to unite and takes them into the Unknown Regions to fight against the new threat.
But in the Mandalorian all we get are some flashbacks with her and Bo, giving us some key background points.
I would hope Luke shows up in the Mandalorian, somehow. He should be out looking for Force sensitives to rebuild the Jedi Order.

To me, all these character rumors open lots of fantastic story opportunities. I understand why some would worry about fan service, but when I look at the characters rumored, I think they all have a place in the Mando story.

We know that Mando is going to seek out the Jedi to find a home for Baby Yoda. So which Jedi will he find? We can assume Luke won't appear in this series. Ashoka makes sense, especially if Mando talks to Bo Katan. She would remember Ashoka and perhaps set Mando on the right path.

As for Boba, I also think there's alot of potential story here. Mando has chosen a path of kindness. Boba is like an older, darker reflection - he's chosen a path of vengefulness. Mando is seeking the Jedi; Boba hates the Jedi. There's alot of built in conflict here. They make excellent foils.

So here we are 7 months after the creation of this thread, and the last postings, and some of the original questions asked by myself and fellow members have been moved closer to the fire, and some have been pushed back...now that we've seen, and HEARD.....SO much more than we expected.

@Anubis78 reminded me that this was created, and suggested that we now revisit the above questions...and there are so many more!!

Thrawn was mentioned by Ashoka, she is has now sent mando off to look for other jedi. There was a little dust up for a minute between her and mando.

I am going to give us a b+ on this. :p

What if the clones of baby Yoda that Moff Gideon has are inquisitors and the mysterious dark troopers that are seen at the end of that episode are Purge Troopers

Ok, so 10-11 years has passed since we saw Ezra and Thrawn jump into hyperspace at the end of Rebels, and then we saw Ahsoka show up to recruit Sabine to go help find them...or at least Ezra.

NOW a decade or so later, we have Ahsoka show up in Mando asking about Thrawn's whereabouts.....and I'm back to wondering what happened to Ezra, as Ahsoka seems to KNOW that Thrawn is on the loose from his previously seen captivity...

And then there's the Darksaber....which Sabine has ties to....

....and Ahsoka has literally been plucked from that aforementioned storyline and APPEARS in Mando...

...and NOW we're going to Tython!!

    My head.......

@Trevor Sadly I have done little reading of SW books.....is it explained anywhere what Ahsoka was doing during the time period of the OT? Or is this new sighting of Ahsoka at Corvus really the first time we have seen her since Rebels i.e. 5 BBY - 1 BBY...??

Are we to infer that she "disconnected" from the Jedi and has in essence been this "lone wolf" type existence?
