Ahsoka: Lightsabers, Concept Art, and More Comes to San Diego Comic-Con

This year's edition of San Diego Comic-Con is officially underway. While Lucasfilm and Star Wars may not have a significant presence on the panel side of affairs, Ahsoka is still getting an early spotlight inside the Lucasfilm Pavilion.



Similar to last year with Andor, set-used pieces from Ahsoka have made their way onto the show floor in San Diego. These props include some tasty looks at the show's various lightsaber hilts with a side of more fuel to the speculation fire regarding Sabine's possible Force-sensitivity. There is also some concept art on display, costumes, and more, so if you are in San Diego, you might want to add a stop to your list. For the rest of us, let's dive in.



A closer look at the lightsabers comes to us from Gizmodo. The first one is used by the Inquisitor, who we now know as Marrok. The photos show a wear-and-tear element to the circular hand-guard portion, implying this Inquisitor has been through a lot to get to this point in the timeline. Check it out below:

Sticking with the villains, the late Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll and Ivanna Sakhno's Shin Hati's blades are also on display. We still know very little about their goals in the upcoming series, but a lot can be said about how one builds their lightsaber.

Up next, we'll look at the titular character's twin blades. Nothing new to see here; these are the same blades Ahsoka has been using for a while. In any case, imagine saying no to seeing them up close.

Lastly on the lightsaber front is Sabine Wren's lightsaber. And I mean that quite literally, as it is not being labeled as 'Ezra Bridger's lightsaber.' Eagle-eyed viewers have previously already spotted Sabine's modifications, so now we can officially call it hers. While this likely isn't anything more than simplifying things, considering she's also held onto the hilt for about a decade (longer than Ezra ever had it), you wouldn't be blamed for believing it adds credence to any of your 'Sabine is Force-sensitive' theories after the last trailer. As mentioned earlier, Star Wars doesn't have a huge presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. But news has already trickled about a potential new LEGO special on Disney Plus. Lucasfilm Publishing and Hasbro will be taking the stage on Friday, July 21. Star Wars: Outlaws also has a panel on Saturday, although the jury is out on if there will be any substantial news.
