Ahsoka New Promotional Spot Includes Footage of Sabines Training

A new 30-second spot for the upcoming Ahsoka series debuted today, featuring new footage from Sabine's duel with Ivanna Sakhno's Shin Hati, as well as our first look at Sabine and Ahsoka's training sessions. Check it out below!

Lucasfilm is going all in on spots, following a similar strategy to The Flash earlier this summer, as they can't really bank on their stars being out there in the world promoting the show (for different reasons than The Flash, of course). We've known that we'd see Sabine and Ahsoka training in the series, but this is the first time we're seeing actual footage from those scenes. Despite that, it's likely that this comes from the very first few episodes of the show, much like, we assume, most of the other promotional material.



The footage is intercut with new looks at Sabine and Shin's forest duel, one of two that we've seen in the trailers between both characters. While it's possible that these two setpieces will actually be from one big duel, I'll go out on a limb here and speculate that one of them will be from a flashback, meaning that in the main timeline of the show, Sabine and Shin will have already crossed paths. I wouldn't be surprised if that duel between them was also the cause of the fallout between Sabine and Ahsoka before they reunited in the scene we saw in the Rebels prologue and now in the trailers for the new series.



We will find out soon enough if this is the case, as the first two episodes of Ahsoka are less than two weeks away, on August 23.
