I'm on youtube and don't know how I keep getting negative star wars videos recommended with titles like "star wars forever woke now", "Katherine Kennedy needs to be stopped for good", star wars turning into star trek?" and "star wars not really saved"

Thank you all for not being like that and the cringe over the top thumbnails or facial expressions of the youtubers... Sorry but just so irked right now and had to vent

It's fine not liking an episode or show but damn. Every fandom is like this, where you see some positive videos gushing then many others just hyperbolic to the extreme

YouTube sure is a cesspool when it comes to SW content. That's because there is big money in fake outrage click-baiting. Content creators on yt are frequently approached by "talent scouts" who offer to mentor the creators into hate-mongers for a percentage of the increased revenue. It's crazy, but such is the reality we live in, unfortunately.

We can just call this an interesting perspective and move on. One additional point worth making, when Ahsoka walked away, she had no idea that the Order would be gone and all those she loved would be slaughtered, along with any chance for her to reconsider and return.

Yes. Thank you for setting that straight, guys. I should have said that she was seemingly stuck on Malachor during the war, not WBW. Guess we really don't know for sure, but the Rebels Epilogue seemed to infer Ahsoka was not around to see the Empire fall.

This deserves more attention. I feel like Jacen was created to give a new generation of protagonist with a connection to the past. He will surely factor heavily into the future of SW. I guess my speculation about him being one of the kids on Skeleton Crew can officially be put to rest, and it's possible we won't get much more of him here. I do like a speculation one of the guys had last night on SWNN Live! That maybe Jacen stows away on the Ghost when his mom takes it upon herself to go against the NR decision and head off to assist Ahsoka and Sabine.

Yes, the struggle is real. There are ways to "clean" your YT feed and train your algorithm. Liking and subscribing to particular creators helps, disliking also seems to help, you can also mark videos as "not interested in" The problem is, if you have even one brief moment of curiosity and click that Zer0h or SWtheory video just to "see what the idiot is spewing..." It will creep them back into your recommendations.

Very true, I lost HelloGreedo and Star Wars Theroy for at least a year, then I clicked on them to see what they were saying about the Ahsoka series, and boom they're back on my algorithm like pesky gnats. I also read the title of their videos, and if it sounds ludicrous I don't bother at all, it took me awhile to get the hang of it, but I'm off the click-bait virus.

I can never seem to escape Eckhart's Ladder or Thor Skywalker no matter how much I press "not interested". I regret ever seeing a few videos from them and especially Eckhart's Ladder. Should have known after his titles

HelloGreedo was cool for a couple of videos I saw but then found myself wanting to knock his his storm trooper helmet off and mess up his white suit

I don't have a feeling either way on Eckhart, he can be a little whiny, but he's generally docile enough. I gave Hello Greedo a shot based on @Rogues1138 recommendations, he's just not my cup of tea and seems aloof and unaware. Thor, their banter just seems cheesy and meh. I keep my YouTube SW feed to SWNN (obviously), SWExplained, New Rockstars, and ScreenCrush, I'll sprinkle in a little Harloff and Rocha every now and then...

Star Wars Explained and SWNN are my go to. Screen Crush can usually be cool but I just stick the the other two the most in general

I like HelloGreedo because he was a fellow Naval Officer who loves Star Wars, but when he stated he didn't like animation I kind of lost interest in his channel, but he has some really good videos on Star Wars science and how to watch ANH the best way possible, but with all my art videos he fell off my algorithm. My art videos seem to remove my Star Wars channels, I have to actively seek those channels out. I'm subscribed to like 500-700 channels so if I don't like a video it falls off my feed quickly because I watch allot of painting, drawing, and calligraphy videos.

Star Wars Explained and ScreenCrush are my goto Star Wars shows, and of course SWNN. I watch Mike Zeroh here and there to get a laugh, but he doesn't stay on my algorithm too long, Thor and Eckharts ladder fell off too. I've never had to hit the not interested button, cause I have so many art channels, if I don't watch a channel it just goes away because I watch mostly art instruction videos. Reading the titles is a good way to figure out that it just pure click bait, so I don't watch it, if you do it wiill become a bane in your life, so make intelligent decisions when watching a channel.

After an unbelievably hectic two weeks, I've finally been able to start catching up on Ahsoka. Sat down to watch Ep. 3 this morning, and these are my thoughts:

In many ways this reminded me of a Rebels episode, particularly in Sabine's performance and the banter that permiated throughout the episode. I would stop short of calling it a filler episode but in comparison to the two that came before it, it was the one that moved the least forward.

That said, the conversation that takes place between Ahsoka and Sabine about the Force mid-way through is something I've wanted out of Star Wars for years now. I've said so many times that Star Wars fans would enjoy Star Wars so much more if they stopped trying to compartmentalize the Force and fit it into a box of what it can/should be. But of course, being a Star Wars fan I've been a hypocrite and contradicted that point a few times. I've never been enthusiastic about how Yoda in Empire explains the Force to Luke, I always found it to be far too simple and vague... and left it open to a lot of questions, i.e. "Then why doesn't everyone use it?" (THANK YOU SABINE!!!!) The prequels introduced midichlorians into the fold, and while I don't loathe them as much as some others do given that they do provide an explanation... it's too scientific, it takes a lot of the mysticism out of the Force.

    "Talent is a factor."

That's all it takes. It is an answer that I am 100% satisfied with, and even if it was something that could already be easily inferred, I'm so happy it was finally acknowledged by someone on screen. It importantly still keeps the mystery of the Force intact and leaves questions unanswered (how the talent is developed, whether it even can be or if it's natural/innate/willed by the Force itself, etc.) and it explains why some random Joe Schmo off the street can't just clear their mind and focus to move a cup across a table.

Overall a good episode with an incredibly satisfying personal positive sprinkled in.

Thanks for posting this again, I remember you had posted it before, but I didn't have the time to properly peruse it. Densely informative and eye opening indeed, riveting to say the least, I'm fully armed, thanks for the ammunition.

@MBWilson I had subscribed to Ethan Van Sciver's You-tube channel because of his marvelous work on DC comics Green Lantern, I believe he is one of the top artist that has worked on that book, so I watched him draw on his channel, and picked up a lot of drawing tips from him. I was glad to know that he was also a Star Wars fan; however, he had a video where he mutilated a Rose Tico 3/4 action figure and flushed it down the toilet, which I immediately thought was rather disturbing. I was thinking how can a professional and adult act this way? After a few other disturbing videos, I decided to unsubscribe, and I am so happy that I did, because this article refers to the same exact video! AnyWho, I read the entire article, I can not thank you enough.

I mean, not sure what you mean exactly, the TLDR is kinda what @Angelman mentioned... Some nefarious cretins infiltrated Nerd Culture to push their right-wing extremist hate and bile. They doubled down on the ST debates and made it extremely toxic. @Rogues1138 mentioned a specific incident above... As far as "payers" if you mean who the players are, I don't have a list. I'm simply sharing an piece that seemed to fit the question. Steve Bannon was named in the article, so that's the general type of turd involved.

The high production value ones are on my radar, not the basement dwellers. Is Bannon funding said nefarious cretins?

That's really all I wanna know - who are the greenbacks funding this attack on mouse house and the SAGA.

"BIG MONEY" - is what I'm still asking about.

Without a list, this is all just buzzwords and talking in circles.

I suggest you read the article @MBWilson posted, and you will understand how the system works and the players involved. I'm a NYC Correction Officer, one of my primary duties is to babysit and observe cretins and turds. During my 18 year campaign, I developed situational awareness to peak performance in order to detect toxic activity within the penal system (I have 2 years left till I retire in peace). The article above confirmed all my suspicions regarding the Fandom Hate Brigade... its not just one turd at all, and they are exuberantly funded. Their systematic predacious tactics have effected poindexters and basement dwellers to buy into their rhetoric.

For example, a poindexter recently asked Star Wars Theory, one of the culprits on the list btw, what he thought about live-action Ezra having blue eyes? Which was also discussed in the article posted above, regarding certain fictional characters (LoTR:Rings of Power) possessing green or blue colored eyes, written by Rewriting Ripley. Ezra has blue eyes simply because his animated eyes are blue. The same reason Thrawn has blue skin, but these hate mongers want to manipulate poindexters to believe that its a diversity campaign (The Little Mermaid) that must be stopped, or their precious culture will collapse and change forever, so very hyperbolic.
