Anakin Skywalker showing up as a force ghost to Kylo Ren?

"You're better than this" as a force voice (i guess?) in the ep.9 before the final duel with Snoke.
Ben returns to the light, helps Rey, damages Snoke, dies from Snoke's hand, Rey kills Snoke. Ben's redeemed, everyone's happy.

 

That sounds terrible to me. Anakin redeemed himself. I don't want a former version of Anakin who shouldn't exist anymore to speak to Kylo Ren. If Anakin is to appear at all, it should be the version at the end of the real ROTJ before George went nuts.

Clarification: Actually, I would not be totally opposed to Anakin appearing in his younger form, but his personality NEEDS to be that of the Anakin who ultimately redeemed himself. To have an unredeemed Anakin speaking to Kylo Ren makes no sense to me as that person should no longer exist. Unless of course you use the idea below...

I like this idea. Snoke is manipulating Kylo Ren through false visions. This could work.

 

Force ghosts may be the most important idea in star wars. Let us not forget the whole reason obi wan sacrifices himself. I would also like to bring up a great point. The last scene of ROTS is yoda telling obi wan they have some ghost training. The last episodes of clone wars is about yoda learning of force ghosts. The last scene of ROTJ is luke seeing all the force ghosts. I also have a theory that yoda waits for luke to return (proving he did not join the dark side). Yoda then says he must rest and lays down and dies. 900 yrs and then "calls it quits" as soon as luke returns. His job is over. He can now be a ghost for he knows luke will win. Season 6 of CW, the force priestesses tell yoda about luke and that is how he will win. Episodes 8 or 9 must touch on this subject! I see kylo ren going to dagobah , seeing anakin as a ghost, tires to chase him to talk to him. Anakin has no lines, and just shakes his head and walks away. Ghost Yoda then walks over. I also see ghosts haunting kylo. Screws with his head. I think we will see a ghost yoda and.......luke!

Wouldn't happen. Anakin was redeemed by Luke and was turned back to the Light Side.

 

I think the "Ghost of Anakin" will haunt him fuelling his insanity, but that it wont be the actual Anakin appearing to him.

Just visions that his own mind creates.

 

Horrible idea. Anakin died a jedi so why would he appear to Kylo?

 

Kylo's words to Snoke about not being "seduced by the enemy" very much implies he was told of Anakin's decision. If Anakin appeared to him he would simply dismiss him as being wrong and having been tricked. His obsession is with Darth Vader, as he is insane. He is not brainwashed by Snoke.

If Anakin were to appear to anyone, it would be to Luke or Rey to help them battle their feelings of the dark side.

 

With the alternating Light/Dark Side Anakin FG I wonder if they would have used both Hayden Christensen to act as him and Hayden and James Earl Jones to dual-voice him simultaneously?

 

Honestly, I am happy they scrapped this idea.
The idea of him being still conflicted in the after-life take away from him being the chosen one and his redemption IMHO!

 

I made a separate thread about that topic exactly, he necessarily wouldn't have to be conflicted just because of his status with the Force and mastering both sides (posthumously) he could show up as Duality Anakin to who ever he wishes.

Dumb idea with the force ghost, being presented to Kylo.

 

I would love it if they could make it work and redeem HC as Anakin for another SW movie... But it would scare the hell out of me.

 

That was a proposed scene for that in The Force Awakens. Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker would change back and forth every few seconds.

 

Wouldn't want to see this in any SW film, but it is entertaining to think of Kylo worshipping Vader, and then Anakin appearing to him with a message of "Hey.........stop being an a**hole."

 

Maybe they're saving that for episode 8.
