Tony Gilroy is once again not keeping any Andor information inside Lucasfilm's vault of secrecy. In a recent interview with Collider, the showrunner said that, in addition to the previously revealed Ariel Kleiman, Janus Metz and Alonso Ruizpalacios will be sitting on the director's chair for the second and final season of the series. Filming will begin in the U.K. this month.

Season 2 will follow the same directing scheme as the first season, with three filmmakers handling twelve episodes, in blocks of three. Metz and Ruizpalacios will each be directing a trio of episodes, like Ben Caron and Susanna White did in season 1, and Kleiman will be directing two blocks, that is, six episodes, like Toby Haynes did in season 1. The block structure of the second season will not only be plot-related, but time-related as well, as each set of three episodes will take place in each of the four years between season 1 and Rogue One.

The writer's room for the second season will consist of the same team as the first, with the addition of Tom Bissell (Gears 5). The first season's writing team included both Tony and Dan Gilroy, as well as Beau Willimon and Stephen Schiff. As far as the cast goes, so far we only know about Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, and Genevieve O'Reilly. We also know that Alan Tudyk is expected to reprise his role as K-2SO from Rogue One.

Andor episode 9 is now streaming, with the 10th episode closing the current arc next Wednesday. You can check out Josh's review of the ninth episode here.
