    I read the first two books in the series, I like the world building, but I find the writing doesn't have the flair I enjoy in Sci Fi books. I've watched the first three episodes now. It was a bit slow getting started but the third episode was really good. Based on what I know from the books I have high hopes for this show, but I'm concerned that the slow pace will lead to it being cancelled after one season and never get to develop. However, the books have a lot of fans so hopefully people are tuning in and it will be a success.

    I haven't see it yet, looks awesome! I need to start watching them. I hate when shows only get one season to develop, hopefully it sticks around.

    Yay, there is a thread for this show! I am a huge fan of books, I've read all of them and after 5 episodes, I really like the show.

    I like the cast and I also like how they added to the books (introduced Avasarala earlier, included the story The Butcher of Anderson Station, etc.). This kind of show needs time to breathe, it has too much setup and explanation to do, so I am very glad that they renewed it for the second season. :)

    And if they get to the events of the fifth book, this show will blow every other science fiction show out of the water. also, the sixth book will be out this year and it's called Babylon's Ashes.

    WATCH THIS SHOW, PEOPLE. It really deserves it.

    Now, when the first season is over, I highly recommend everyone to binge watch The Expanse. It was renewed for the second season, so you wouldn't be left high and dry. It's complex, has great characters and significant production value for a TV show. Enjoy!

    A friend in Australia recommended it to me, but so far I've not had the opportunity to give it a go as been watching The Man in the High Castle and doing a Twin Peaks re-run with Mrs Lazarus ahead of the Showtime series... and then American Gods is going to get in the way! :rolleyes: ;)

    I am now thanks for the tip.

    So far watched the first 3 episodes & so far I am loving it. Nerfix in the U.K. has the whole season available &twill then make the entire 2season available once it finishes on the SyFi channel.

    Thank you those oppaning episodes certainly got my attention.
    One question do we find more about Juliette as she seam tied into the story more than just a missing person.
    Plus I really love the ship designs in the show from the bulky ice carriers to that massive Mars Warship.

    Julie's story is interconnected with Miller's and it doesn't end until second season episode Home. So you have a lot to look forward to. :)

    The design of the show is amazing, there will be a lot more eye candy.

    Didn't realise the thread was still going. Yeah still watching, best Sci Fi series on TV since BSG imo and hopefully it will have a better ending.

    Just a bump for this thread

    Season 3 has finished filming a should be shown some time after the Winter Olympics so hopetowards the end of February.

    & I finally got to watch the remaining Esp of season 1 & thing are really ramping up.

    Loved the way Miller & Holden plus the rest of the crew first meting. Amos is a lot more complex then I though as well so that's good & the Deputy Undersecretary for the UN Christen is a real hard case so I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes next season.

    Just finished the entire 2nd season & bring it on for Season 3
