My opinions only as an "older" fan...

I'm not nervous about the quality of the movie......I think everyone involved has made a good/fun film that does the SW universe justice......just a little sad and anxious.

I'm a little sad that I think this is the beginning of something else......it's still gonna be familiar and be SW....but the era I grew up with in the early 80's ( and even partially the 00's) is coming to an end.

Nothing will ever replace the Magic of the OT ( IMO).... We have seen the threshold of VFX in the Movie theater.....I don't think the younger generation will feel the same way as the OT generation did watching the VFX.......it was new and never really seen at that time.

The Characters.....watching Han, Chewie, R2D2, Luke meet Yoda then go face Vader.....those Characters defined Generations.....became a big part of our culture...
while BB8 ,Finn , Rey , Kylo etc..etc.. seem amazing so far and I can't wait to see thier story......I'm not sure it will be anywhere near the same.....and that's ok....we have been living with SW characters for over 40 years.

I guess what I'm saying is ....I'm a little sad that I can never go back.....and it feels a little like Goodbye.

    anxious.....because....

while we can never go back....we can go forward to something New and exciting!
I fully believe there is some young fan somewhere that will be inspired by SW and make his/her own Movies that change the world!

will it be in the SW universe someday?..maybe?..I actually hope not.....I hope someone else tells something totally different and original ( ok maybe steal somethings)
and take us somewhere brand new with totally new VFX ( 360 degree Movies) and totally new Characters.

anxious because I hope they hurry and do it before I'm pushing up daisy's...

I've been throwing up for weeks...oh wait: it might be because I was in and out of the hospital and have been super sick...but I'd like to think it's because of TFA. :p

I have to say that the only two things that have me a little nervous are the look of the aliens and JJ being too influenced by the negative comments about the prequels. On the alien topic I really am hoping that we are surprised and that we get much more than what we have seen beacuse both the OT and PT aliens were awesome yet aside from Sarco Plank and the Red Corsair, hardly any of the aliens I have seen have given me the awesome feeling I got from seeing creatures like Amanaman, Greedo, Hammerhead, Ree Yees, Oola and Tessek in the OT and aliens like Shaak Ti, Mass Ameda, Plo Koon, Sebulba, Taun We and Saesee Tiin in the PT. Regarding JJ and the Prequels I have to admit that I have a little fear that JJ might have tried to play it too safe by trying to imitate the OT to a point of not giving us anything new. It scares me just a little when I group up the things I have seen so far and get: A dessert planet, an ice planet, a jungle planet, a black armored renegade Jedi dude who serves a powerful being that uses the Dark Side, a new hope for the Jedi, a cantina, a super weapon, a droid carring something vital inside and a lack of fighter ships other than X-Wings and Tie Fighters. There is a side of me that is still really pummped and that has the expectation that there are tons of wonderful things in store for us that have not been seen and that are waiting to blow our minds away on the 17th yet I still have my fears. I know that TFA is going to be a good movie and that by no means it is going to be a disapointment yet what I truly hope is that when I see it on the 17th, I leave the theatre thinking that the movie was awesome and that I want to see it a bunch of times more and I want to have awesome looking aliens as action figures! I want to be able to quote Tony the Tiger by saying that TFA was not good but great!!!

I'm not nervous about the movie. It's SW for God's sake.

Just like pizza or sex, even when it is bad, it's still good.

What is funny is that the anticipation feels a lot like nervousness. So no, I don't have any worries about the film, but my stomach has the same butterfly battle going on as if I were worried.

In a recent interview with Adam Driver he said he feels that he needs to see it again to get a good feel of it?

This is what I thought when I first seen TPM!

    Nervous yet?

    I am.....

    Not in the slightest.

I'm feeling impatient. And excited. Very, very excited.
