Benicio del Toros DJ Of The Last Jedi To Get His Own Marvel Comic

    Cool news for us comic fans! DJ, the mercenary/computer hacker (slicer, in the SW vernacular), is getting a one-shot comic. This character is one we have heard very little about, other than he's played by Benicio del Toro and he's 'shady'.





    Writer Ben Blacker (Deadpool series, The Last Jedi: Storms of Crait) will be at the writing helm, while art will be provided by Kev Walker (Doctor Aphra and various titles). The one-shot issue will cover a little of what DJ is up to before we meet him in The Last Jedi. Blacker gives us a little teaser:



    With Marvel's Captain Phasma recently wrapped up, this one-shot, along with Storms of Crait, will be a nice compliment to those still spinning from The Last Jedi. For those of us that want as much information as we can get our hands on regarding the new characters or places we see in the saga, I think this one-shot is a welcome addition. It sounds like DJ has an intriguing story, so I look forward to learning more about the 'scoundrel', whatever his role helping the Resistance or the First Order may end up being.



    Marvel's DJ #1 will be released January 31, 2018. See you there!
