Best Episode/Episodes?

I basically love all the arcs around the domino Squad members ( especially Fives )

And the Mortis arc was pretty awesome too

 

Great question. I'm looking for similar answers. I watched the movie and series recently and would like to recommend 6-12 episodes to a friend with really limited time and would like suggestions also.

(Bear with me trying to avoid spoilers here...)
I would avoid the movie - unless I'm missing something important here.
Some specific episodes should include a summary of Ahsoka Tano's arc (definetely), Mortis (for sure), Asajj Ventress arc summary and a summary of Dathomirian story. An introduction to some important clone characters wouldn't go amiss as well.

Perhaps someone can improve on these suggestions with specific episode names/list?

I don't either particularly. I was kinda only thinking of including it in case a certain character re-appears in a future production. The friend I want to make recommendations to is likely to get Star Wars: The Ultimate Guide at some stage and my plan is to fill him in on the basics in case the book spoils anything. (He has missed Rebels and TCW.)

I hope you get a tidy episode highlight list out of your thread. I feel we're overlooking something important...

 

One episode I found very funny is the one where Anakin asked R2 to save them while they are stuck with Windu under a ship about to fall ...

The 4 last episode of season 5 with Ahsoka are very good too.

 

Umbara is one of the best TV episode arcs, EVER. It's got sophistication, darkness, maturity, and everything of the prequels, plus a little of that good TESB stuff! I'd say watch all of the series, I currently am again as I write this, but you need to check this out-

You have to watch the unfinished Crystal Crisis arc (Death Star connections), Bad Batch arc (special return of a great character), then read Dark Disciple (Ventress is back!), the novel adaption of an 8 PART ARC, and then read the comic book adaption of Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir (Maul is back for revenge, again!). Note that half of Dark Disciple is set before Son of Dathmoir, and the other half after, but the arcs are all some of the best ever. The video arcs were missing finished animation, that's all, so voice acting and script and everything is there, and is officially canon. The Dark Disciple novel adaption was a bit more mature than the even some of the stuff in the Umbara arc and all, and is a very good adaptation. Son of Dathomir is the last of the Dark Horse Comics line, but is officially canon, and it sets up some of the end of the war and stuff Star Wars: Rebels is going into this season.

So, what I'm saying is, check this stuff out, since you've already seen the Order 66 arc, Mortis arc and Umbara arc. Also check out the Citadel Arc before watching all the stuff from TCW Legacy. Happy hunting!

I'm watching the show now for the first time, and while I'm not a big fan of it so far, a couple of episodes satnds out for me. I've just finished the Mortis arc in season 3 (which I did NOT like), and thus far my favorite has been "The Deserter" (Season 2 ep.10). Well written and nicely executed, with a self-contained story and a moral that actually makes sense for once. Good stuff

 

Darkness on Umbara puts the "War" in Star Wars.

 

The Umbara arc is my favorite, but the final arc of season 5 is a close second.
