All this recent talk of Snoke/Plagueis/Anakin/Skywalkers had me thinking, outside the box a little.

Does Kylo Ren see himself as the "Chosen One"?

First off lets talk Anakin Skywalker/Plagueis. Some people like to think Plagueis created Anakin, its not stated anywhere that he did. infact even in the EU Plagueis was suprised to hear about Anakins existance.

In terms of what Sidious said to Anakin to begin seducing him, I find it highly convenient that Sidious's former master had the cure to death just as Anakin was getting visions of losing Padme. The fact so many fans have taken everything he said in this scene as gospel suprises me considering Sidious had already spent 2 1/2 films lieing and deceiving everyone (including the viewer) and what Lucas did with this scene worked because of everyone who believed everything Sidious said. the only moment I feel was written and shot as fact was the closeup of Sidious as he smirked and spoke of killing Plagueis, he seems to drift away from seducing Anakin for a second and is staring into thin air reliving the moment again quite joyfully.

Born of the force...........now in the new Canon not much is known about Plagueis but one new addition is that he believed "The force could strike back" and I believe the force did exactly that by creating Anakin. Whatever Plagueis was doing, he was meddling in the force and with this new "Awakening" theme going on and a sort of revival of the living/conscious force its quite believable to presume Anakin was created by the force.

So I believe the whole Anakin/Sidious/Plagueis story came full circle. Plagueis & Sidious (Siths) were meddling in the force trying to manipulate it, The force creates Anakin to put end to the meddling (Siths) he does, bada boom, Force Wins. But..................

What if Destroying the Sith "Awakened" something?

Snoke is described as "Enigmatic" (difficult to interpret or understand; mysterious) also as "Damaged" and "Vulnerable" also as a Powerful figure on the Dark Side Of The Force with a Hidden agenda. What if Snoke is sort of a Dark Side God? who was awoken but damaged when the Sith were Destroyed and light took over? What if his powers are limited and he needs Luke dead to once again regain power? Would make for an awesome Uber bad guy (Voldemort all over again xD)

I think from some earlier rumours it was seen that Kylo was some sort of pawn in Snokes game, would make sense if he was a force sensitive relation of Lukes and Anakins. What if he is lead to believe Vaders prophecy was to destroy the Jedi..........."I will finish what you started"!!!!

Has Kylo been corrupted into thinking he is "The chosen one" or the second coming of Vader, there were rumours at one point of him telling people he was Vader. His helmet is a dedication to Vader and then theres the line from the toy "That weapon is MINE!!!" does he think the Saber belongs to him because it is his birthright?

From the few bits of Information we know about Kylo Ren we know he really does think what he is doing is for the best and isn't your usual baddie who is out for power, whatever his mission or purpose is he is conditioned by it and really believes its the right thing to do. We already know from the EW articles that Finn was brought up with a different picture of Luke Skywalker than the "Hero" what if this is how Kylo also feels?

This is a very wise thread my friend.

I truly think the new trilogy is not about the Rebellion, the Empire, the Jedi and the SIth... it's about THE FORCE.... that's an avenue that wasn't explored yet...

The Prequels dealt with the Jedi VS Sith (Religion war IMHO)
The OT dealt with the Oppressor vs the oppressed (Empire vs Rebellion)

The Sequels will deal with the Force itself. Snoke could very be a being BEYOND the religion (Sith or whatever)... affected by the "balance of the Force".

I speculated earlier about several individuals being affected by the Force in this movie, whether of not they become Jedi or Sith or Ren...

Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo... all affected by the Force somehow... The Force manifesting itself.

Sorry guys but this movie TFA has evil over the top ideias in it, its no like Spielberg/Lucas kind of antagonisms: Luke duels with Vader (he never killed him) , Qui-gon killed by Maul...its a coward dialogue from Kylo Rat in front of his father with so much love to get his son back...And Kylo did that. Its not a question of being cheesy but I could see beyond this showbizz matrix and sense some tragic values to pass it on. The father's blood is you hand now Kylo and JJ deal with it well in the next movies. (falcon) <3 ONE LOVE

Balance of the force is mentioned in TFA.
And it seems that force is still not in balance.

Love this idea! This is a good way of avoiding rehashing either trilogy and raising the stakes.
