Cavan Scott Shares Inspirations Behind Star Wars: Tales from the Death Star, New Pages and Art Shown

In an interview with StarWars.com, author, Cavan Scott, shared his inspirations behind the new book Tales from the Death Star. A few pages from the comic, showcasing its horror-inspired art, were also shown following the official release of the anthology comic today. It is being marketed as a 'fun for all ages' comic for everyone to enjoy. In the interview, Scott discussed how the anthology series came about and why he chose the Death Star as the central location.







When asked to elaborate on some of the series' original inspirations, Scott drew attention to the horror connections that were already established in Star Wars from actors with such classic horror roles in their resume as Peter Cushing's (Tarkin) Frankenstein and Christopher Lee's (Count Dooku) Dracula, among others:

Scott was also asked why the Death Star was chosen for this anthology. His response highlights how he wanted to make the location the central character most of all:
