I'm not someone who villifies CGI, I've actively defended it and showed the uninformed what it really is before TFA. The other most "practical" film of the year, Mad Max has a heck of a lot of CGI as well.
The point I'm getting at is when you go through the video and pictures it's clear that much of what was CGI, was necessary, where in the prequels it not always was, like CGI Clones ?????
    (I'm no prequel hater either)

This is like saying "THE SKY ISN'T BLUE, AND IF ANYONE REPLIES BACK TO ME SAYING THE SKY IS BLUE, MY POINT STILL REMAINS"

All that matters is it looks photorealistic at least 97% of the time. The cinematography and the special effects generally work hand in hand (as I expected from JJ) and it doesn't look like a video game, ahem:

    One huge difference.
That CGI is 14 years old.

    2002. that was groundbreaking CGI.

I don't mind the CGI. The only reason I didn't like it in the prequels was because it looked flat and unrealistic. All the CGI in TFA, on the other hand, looks real and I couldn't tell what was and wasn't CGI.
But whatever, just enjoy having another thing to complain about.

They looked just as real as anything else that was ever in a Star Wars movie.

This thread is indeed pointless... this is nothing people could not have gathered from the actual video.

Then 90% of threads on this forum are pointless. Do we need to lock whole forum.
Like I said, if you are not interested, there is hundreds of other threads on these forum. Move on them.
