Although the animated series are good and informative. Could a 'real' actor TV series be achievable for the galaxy far far away. Starwars is and always will be a big movie blockbuster franchise but now with the abundance of linkage novels and comics maybe one of them could be masterminded into a small screen smash. I once read something somewhere about TV series named rogue squadron been penned about a band of x wing pilots and there escapades. Obviously it came to nothing but it was this gossip that got me thinking. How well would a live actor starwars TV series be received and is it achievable .(x-wing)(star destroyer)

I would love to see a Netflix series placed some years before TPM, how awesome would it be to see young Palpatine making small Cameos?(pwned) Or even an Old Republic series?

Soooooo easily done, the series would write itself. Think about Game of Thrones set in the Star Wars Universe, set it just after ROTJ. Different Imperial factions fighting for control of the remnants, the New Republic, endless other canonical factions that could be introduced - a new Jedi Order even, the origin story of the Knights of Ren, etc in ad nauseum! It would all have to be coordinated and tie in to all the new canon material, books, comics, films, tv series, etc. but there is enough there to give a good 4-5 season run with an overarching story arc that wraps up nicely. It could feature flashbacks and foreshadowing, easter eggs for past and upcoming films, it would be awesome.

In all honesty though, I would rather see The Wheel of Time get this treatment. It could be such an epic follow-up to Game of Thrones but in a more high fantasy setting that could take over for Game of Thrones' lower fantasy setting when it finishes. If there is any work out there right now that deserves proper TV or film treatment, it is The Wheel of Time.

As cool as that sounds, the chances of Disney greenlighting something that doesn't connect or promote the new era in some way is pretty doubtful. Love me some Palpy though.
