Creatures and Aliens of EP. VIII

I just hope they're not racial stereotypes.

 

I wish all of the above was an option. The way i see it, a few well established species from the prior films in the background don't hurt the addition of a new one.

On the other hand, I'd actually pay good money to see a children's film that focuses on the lives of the jawas, so there's that.

 

Preferably, I would like to have never before seen species. But if had to choose an already existing creature, I would reintroduce the Wampa.

 

So i have my jawas children's movie and you can have iceage: hoth. We all win.

(sidenote: everytime i hear "wampa" i think of the secret code "wampastompa" in shadows of the empire for n64)

 

I'd like to see a modern version of the Besalisk species for curiosity's sake. While it had to be CG back in the early 2000s, we are now at the stage where they can be like Unkar Plutt: practical suits with animatronics that are later enhanced and tweaked with VFX.

 

I go for a never before seen species.

 

I would go for all three options. Some from TFA and some classic ones, as it would at least bridge the gap between the different sets.

And throw in a new one of course for good measure.

 

I'm not sure I'd agree with that fully, phan. Whether it was the OT or the PT we all grew up with around here, we've had between 40-10 years to absorb the nuances, background details, and incidental creatures from the first 6 installments of the saga. Decades in which to fall in love with jawas and Wookies and gungans and trandoshans.

By comparison, we've had less than a year with tfa.

But i must concede, the following strikes me as solid backup to your sentiment: in the previous installments, significant supporting cast were aliens: yoda, jar jar, chewie, jabba. And while the most noteworthy aliens in tfa were maz and unkar plutt, they didn't stay in the story as long as the others. Hopefully rian Johnson makes more use of non humans...especially snoke and maz.

I would like to see aliens from all episodes. Especially some of TFA, they did a great job with the aliens from Maz's castle and Ello Asty.

 

Each of the movies have alien species we've never seen before, some have several we only saw in that movie. Most of the aliens seen in Empire Strikes Back were never seen in any of the other movies. And there are other aliens in all the films that were only seen in that film.

 

I'd really like to see some Bothans.

 

What?!? A mod that doesn't know that Bothans were only involved in stealing the plans of Death Star 2.0? Come on! Brush up on your Star Wars knowledge, dude...
