Not to start a debate..only to highlight the genius of the sith and just how evil Sidious was. Knowing how Sidous came about and what he did prior to the PT has made a lot of parts of Ep 1-3 better for me. Every scene with palpatine in it I have a backround knowledge of what he is really doing and thinking...and it has made the movies much better. I highly recommend this read

As an added bonus - it's semi-canonical, based on 11-4D's cameo in Tarkin.

I still have yet to read it, but I really liked Tarkin, which is written by the same author.

I'd venture to say that it will be added to canon, after a big surprise in episode VII. There is just to much about the book that lines up with the movies. And ya, why have 11-4D canon? Anyway, can't wait to find out who's right. May the 4th be with you:)

While I really enjoyed the book, I would say that it definitely will not be added to canon as a whole due to some inconsistencies with current canon(like the way Sidious received Maul as compared to the Son of Dathomir comic in the new canon) and the fact that the novel has so many references to old EU stories. However, based on how excellent the story is, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more aspects of the story brought into the new canon. I also agree with the poster of this thread that the book makes the PT better as well.

    I
I think we could see Disney use the anthologies to a certain extent to help improve the PT.

For instance, there are rumors I heard on some Star Wars podcasts (AMC's Jedi Alliance & Geek Nation's Far, Far Away) that there was talk of an Obi-wan anthology movie. You could help show more of the friendship btw Obi-wan & Anakin in flashbacks and the like. You could show Obi-wan's remorse when he thinks of opportunities he could have helped Anakin or noticed signs that he was slipping to the Dark Side, or was getting too attached to Padme, etc.

But I definitely think we'll see great story lines from Legends books appear in some form or another going forward.

JMHO. I agree. I loved the PT regardless, but 'Darth Plagueis' fleshes out the PT so amazingly well. It almost deserves its own movie. Beyond that I can't see why it remains in "legends" territory given how well it fits the PT and the entire saga in general.

I would like to see Plagueis gets his own spin-off movie.
