SPECULATION Darth Vader vs Chirrut Imwe ????

You are absolutely right Lucasfilm Disney would also profit more from a movie where Vader has action scenes, the reviews would be flushing in about how awesome it was to see Vader in action and that would make even the most sceptical Rogue One hater go see it

If he just stands there and does nothing, then it would be boring as hell and it wouldn't do his character justice.

 

Agreed, it doesn't always have to be the death star for the whole movie we have already saw what that mean moon can do.

 

You don't hire Donnie Yen to NOT have him fight Vader. On the other hand there is TFA...

 

Jym running for her life with Vader in tow. Chirrut tells her to go on without him, kneels with his staff and meditates much like Qui-gon while he waits for Vader to approach. Seconds later, Vader enters the room, saber already drawn from massacring the rest of team on the way. Chirrut stands to address the Dark Lord.

Vader: "You are foolish and untrained. You will suffer the same fate as the rest of your misguided Rebel friends."

Chirrut: "I fear nothing. All this, is as the Force wills it."

Epic 20 seconds ensues, followed by ten seconds of ass-whipping torture.

Vader continues his pursuit of the girl with the plans.

 

Whether he fights Chirrut or not, Vader will see some action. MSW reported a while ago that one of the Vader suits that was created was a stunt suit.

I think it would be fitting if Chirrut met his end by Vader. Considering he seems like he is more versed in Hand to hand combat, it would be a shame to see him go down to blaster fire or some explosion
