I've been a paid and published writer (if we're going to whip out tape measures), and I haven't had too much difficulty understanding "Grand Master Flash" Gelen Marek. I've had to re-read a few things--not just from him--but just figure that it is either an issue of English as a second language, U.K. English vs American English, or a mind that types faster than they think.

Hell, my GF often can't even vocalize properly to me what she wants, and we've been together almost 10 years. I have a guy at work who does this: "We could do the just slap the *whistle* on, and it'll be all good."

    I call him R2.

Sadly, our language isn't dead like Latin, and we have over 13 distinct language areas in the United States. Texting and auto-correct is causing big problems, and people forget to use their noun, verbs, et cetera to properly convey their thoughts. Yes, "Words, they mean things."

Just please, don't go around flopping your education around it you can't stop to realize that out language is evolving.

It comes across as hostile and rude.

    As for the OP thread...

Darth works fine to me, as a title. Even as a little kid, I never thought "Darth" was Vaders name, due to the fact that people called him "Darth Vader." In our own real lives, we don't use names like that when referring to people--at least not commonly. As an example, we might refer to Oliver North by name, but General
    Schwarzkopf by title. .

Im glad my posts are not to difficult to understand, I never had a second language I guess my mis-typing can be slow or confusing with the uptake of someone already mentioning it.

I,in my own twisted head, think they all used Darth because, like Skywalker and Kenobi, iit is common like Smith and Jones.......it means John.:p
(John Vader,John Siddious,John Maul)...makes about as much sense as Lucas contradicting himself every Tuesday for almost 40 years...

So John came into Lucas's head when he imagined Darth, never thought of that.

Well. our favorite Sith does have a brother, Chad Vader... They're twins, I think, so "John," isn't too weird.

    What?

@CHOLOBOT im curious as to your silent yet negative disapproval of my posts between Mr. Marek and myself (especially since they were originally done some time ago.)

I basically ask for coherent posts that have some semblance of...I don't know....punctuation? It exists for a reason.

Language is meant to convey a message. If you can't write it, then don't be offended when, on a MESSAGE BOARD, someone mentions it. This is silly.
