There's been no shortage of interviews with Dee Bradley Baker during the release of season 2 of The Bad Batch. In this latest interview straight from StarWars.com, Baker teased big surprises for the gang and more screen time for their lost brother, Crosshair.

Asked about Crosshair and where his story might be going, Baker said:

This explains the noticeable absence of Crosshair in the latest two-episode, mid-season release, which takes place on Coruscant. In our review of these episodes, we posited that this omission was intentional and that the writers must be saving Crosshair for something more impactful later in the season.

I can’t help but think of Cassian Andor’s quote in Rogue One in relation to Crosshair’s story:

Crosshair is desperately searching for a path forward with the Empire. He has enough empathy to feel the weight of his actions on its behalf and wants to make it worth it, but the Empire is making this impossible at every turn. And unlike Andor with the Rebellion, Crosshair’s time with the Empire ultimately won’t be justified. He will have to square those moral lapses on his own.

With the events of today’s episodes, and with Baker teasing upcoming developments, Crosshair’s story is officially set to take a new turn. Asked about the remainder of season 2, Baker said explained:

It’s clear that season 2 of The Bad Batch was written with a grander scale in mind, and now that they’ve shown nearly everything that was included in the trailer, it's time to gear up for some big surprises.
