    He was in so many of my favorite films. And he played other parts in Star Wars even not just R2. Sad, and I know he had been ill for some time. :(

    what a sad day.

    R2 has been my favorite SW character since my first star wars cinema outing in 1983.

    I was lucky enough to meet KB at a signing 15 ish yrs ago. (well i said 'hi' among a crowd full of SW fans also saying 'hi' lol, i think that just about counts as meeting him)
