Did you like the Rise of Skywalker trailer?

Overall the trailer gets an A- from me. The first half was uninspiring because I really just don't have strong emotional investment Rey, Kylo, Poe, Finn, etc, so when we see nothing but Rey and a yet-to-be-determined TIE pilot chasing her down, I was underwhelmed. I was more excited to see the lightsaber than she who wielded it.

However, the final 30 seconds or so got my heart pounding, not least of which was Lord Sidious giving us his evil chuckle.

 

First time I saw I didn't like it.
You know, that laughing in the end kind of scared me. Palpatine is back? I'm not sure if this is something interesting and fresh for the story, but maybe JJ created something special and new for the character.
The title is.growing on me. And now its sounds better.
But I loved most of the scenes in the teaser.

Ps. The best trailer for me will always be the teaser for TPM. Thats imposible to beat.

 

Nothing spectacular about it making me going woah.After the two initial episodes of this trilogy I keep my hopes low in all possible ways.

 

I really enjoyed it.

I've loved all the ST teasers and trailers, perhaps TFA trailer tops the lot by a smidgen. Loved the music though on TLJ trailers. This trailer had a lot riding on it and I think JJ and co. got it pretty much spot on: plenty to discuss, plenty of nostalgia, but doesn't give too much away.

 

Yes, Yes, Yes! Many know from my posts that I wasn't a fan of TLJ and still very mixed on the movie. But I feel this Teaser addressed fans like me (who loved TFA) and feel that The Rise of Skywalker will be more in line with TFA than TLJ. I don't think it will openly diss TLJ (I hope it doesn't do that), but craft a narrative where it will self-correct in a respectful way. Right now I'm positive again about the franchise and feel exactly like I did after TFA in 2015. I think it will heal the wounds of the TLJ battles among the fans as I'm finally ready to move on (LOL), and focus on Episode 9 now knowing that it's in JJ hands, and that teaser really hit all of the notes I was looking for.

 

It feels a bit mean to say its good, but not one of the best, but Star wars does have a history of making insanely good trailers. and while this one was very good and had some great touches, for be it was wasn't one of the best Star Wars Trailers, best trailer i've seen this yeah though.

 

I loved it. My favorite modern trailer has to be the Chewie we're home trailer, that was insane, but this one is pretty good too.
