I used to have a map of all the systems and planets framed. Does this Atlas work in a similiar fashion?

I REALLY don't know tbh. I remember seeing it at a book store years back (maybe 10 years ago give or take) but I didn't buy it. I can't even remember if I thumbed through it or not. I'd been wanting to pick it up for a while and since it was 66% cheaper on ebay than amazon i went ahead and got it. Once I have it in my hands I'll let ya know.

So much wisdom from the Holocons. Darth Ruin and Andeddu have caught my attention.

YES!!! I Have this one but haven't opened it in a while. The EU in many ways was criminally underrated, especially these sorts of source books.

The truth is Disney is borrowing from them.

Kylo Ren’s “The Sith, the Jedi, let it all die”

    Is very Darth Ruin like:

“There is no passion…there is solely obsession.
There is no knowledge. There is solely conviction.
There is no purpose. There is solely will.
    There is nothing…
Only me.” -THE CREED OF RUIN

But according to the interview Kathy did in with Rolling Stone, they had nothing to draw from when it came to the ST... LMAO

I took that quote as a subtle shot at Kevin F. and the MCU. Either that or she doesn't know of the EU, I'm not sure which is worse.

But at least Dave F. and Jon F. are mining it. Personally I think you'd be crazy NOT to mine the EU.

I totally agree. Why Disney has not just adapted EU/Legends wholesale has puzzled me. They own it.

I think they got the idea that a. the E.U. wasn't good and b. they could make more money by just publishing original material.

This, in my opinion, was a HUGE mistake. If I were them, I would have made two timelines, one the nu-cannon and the other the E.U. Then publish books in both. That way you don't piss anyone off. I would also say there are "levels" of cannon, just like we had with Lucas. The highest level of cannon is what is in the films. That gives you cover, as it is far easier to keep the films all lined up than to do that with books and comics and films and TV...

But alas, they went in a different direction.

I concur. Why close an oil mine like the EU? Why not publish both as you said a NU-Canon and the old Eu/Legends Canon? They coukd have been milking two cows, instead they killed one and have offended many EU fans. It just does not make sense.
