I was thinking the other day about who my favorite Jedi of all time was. I got super nerdy with it and thought about who had the best personality, view of The Force, and made a distinct mark on the galaxy. I thought I would pose this question to the community as well.

My vote for favorite went to the best maverick of a Jedi who followed his own code in a time when the Jedi Order was being crippled by their dogmatic practices. He eventually went on to conquer death itself by his discovery of becoming a Force Ghost. So mine is Qui Gon Jinn. Who is yours!! (green)

Personally, I'd stick with the OT and this chap... It may not seem like the most obvious choice, but as much as I have enjoyed the whole Jedi mythos through the movies, tv shows, games and books this is where it all started.

Sure, PT Jedi had much more of a range of skills and talents, some of which are now creeping into the ST era too, but it's beginning to take them into such a super-powered state that they become like gods amongst the other characters. I just found that the OT, particularly with Luke's journey showed that a 'normal' and unassuming boy could grow in skill and wisdom to be a greater person - not invincible or infalliable, but achieving a greater state of being.

I like the more grounded Jedi as well. I feel Qui Gon avoided a lot of the prequel Jedi tropes and he really felt in the vein of OT Knight. Luke may take the mantle for me after watching him take on a mentor role in Last Jedi.

    Favourite Jedi - Qui-Gon Jinn
Least Favourite Jedi - Mace Windu (the actor is too well-known and distracting, arrogant, moody, miserable, "this partys over", and a purple lightsabre?!)

Awesome pick with Qui Gon. My least favorite is probably Yaddle. Even though she has no lines seeing Yoda with a bad wig on bothers the crap out of me.

For me at this point it's a close race between OB1 and QGJ, but indeed maybe after TLJ our old friend LS might step into that mix...

QGJ I like for his calmness and insight's. He saw the flaw's creeping into the Jedi-Order!

OB1 for his Lightsaberskill's and his own wisdom!

Luke because in the OT he got immensely far in a very short time! And in TLJ, who knows? It depends on which path he takes... will he go down the beaten path of the Jedi again and risk another faillure? Or will he be bold and risk something entirely different? In 9 months we'll know if I change my vote from PT to ST! :D

    But at the moment I think OB1 takes a narrow lead!(obi-wan 3)

Obi came in a close second for me. I love Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars General Kenobi the most out of his incarnations. [IMG]

Exactly, That nice combination between skill, wisdom, wit and humor!
QGJ could have benfitted greatly from a slightly more apparent sense of humor! :D

I apologize, my friends. But the best Jedi of all the times is Master Count Dooku.

Elegant and classy, he is smart enough to detect the corruption in the Senate, far before his peers (especially that little green thing).
Considering the Jedi Order went wrong, he quitted. He preferred remain loyal to his thoughts, rather than loyal to the Order : he couldn't bear remain a Jedi in conflict with his ideas and ideals.
He is a rare character that fully embraces both sides, the first time as a Jedi Master, then as a Sith Lord.

He truly is a bastard, but man: he's a Royal-class bastard. Must say: an Imperial-class Bastard. Remember he is the only one, all along the whole 8 (soon 9, including R1) movies of the saga, with the Emperor, who manipulates force-lightnings. It's really a tragedy that rash stupid bull from Tatooine separated his head.

Rust In Peace, Count Dooku. I will pray for you.

Qui-Gon Jinn is the closest to what I would like Jedi to be, basically more relaxed, more inclusive and accepting. However, I wish we spend more time with him.

My favorite is definitely Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is the rock that never falters. Big plus is a sass factor, rare thing among Jedi which are all about 'serious business'. Enjoys the occasional drink, good throw-down and cutting of limbs. All actors who played him added to his character - from the humorous glimmer in Alec Guinness' eye (especially in dealing with Han), to Ewan McGregor's charm, extra super sass of James Arnold Taylor to subtlety of Steven Stanton in closing the circle. I really, really want Obi-Wan movie to see how he goes from disillusioned Jedi hiding to the next level of Force understanding in learning from Qui-Gon.

I have high hopes for Luke, but right now it's Kenobi. So, I can't really vote, because he is the knight in both Prequel and Original Trilogy and I love the entirety of his Jedi-ness. :)

Qui Gonn and OT Yoda the First two (that we know of) who gained immortality through the Force. They both add a fascinating dimension to the setting as a whole.

please Lady, define:sass for a foreign non-english, thank you very very much, google translate is inefficient :(

Aoh, by "favourite Jedi" one mean the "most beautiful 'n' sexy 'n' all"? OK so, there is one unique answer: this one is truly my heroin, I mean: she's my goddess and my dope.

As a foreign, English as second language person, I'll try my best. :)

Sass means being cheeky, having (often rude, in Kenobi's case sarcastic) attitude, mouthing off to others. Pretty much all Kenobi's enemies, especially in his younger years, were burned by Kenobi's sass. Anakin was another Kenobi's target.

Hoping by the end of the sequel trilogy, I will have changed my vote to Rey (fully expect that to be the case). She is third on my list behind Qui Gon and Obi Wan after only one appearance. I hope to see her and Luke really delve into the mysteries of the Force and become her own unique form of Jedi in VIII. [IMG]

My favorite would have to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, though it is a tough pick. He narrowly beats out Anakin, Luke, Ahsoka, and Yoda, for me. Obi-Wan is not only a master of trolling... ;) ...but he is a true Jedi. He never gives into anger or hate, even after losing people he cared about, including Qui-Gon, Satine, Anakin, Padme, or the entire Jedi Order. He is brave, kind, and loyal. Not to mention being able to face powerful enemies such as Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Assaj Ventress, General Grievous, Savage Oppress, and Darth Vader. How he treated Maul in Twin Suns further made up my mind. (obi-wan 3)(obi-wan 2)(obi-wan 4)(obi-wan ghost)
