I was in the Original Trilogy section and I saw this thread about Favorite OT Starfighters. As someone who has always loved starfighters, I thought it would be fun to talk about the Prequel starfighters as well since there are plenty of cool designs.

Before I talk about my favorite, here's are pictures of the poll choices in case you forgot.

    Droid Tri-Fighter

    Belbullab-22 Starfighter

These are all the fighters actually seen in the Prequel Trilogy (The Clone Wars exclusive fighters took up more poll slots than I actually have, okay?).

My personal favorite Prequel starfighter is the Eta-2.

I absolutely love this fighter. In fact, it is my favorite starfighter in the entire series. It was a beautiful combination of the first Jedi Starfighter and the TIE Interceptor. It's wonderful.

    So, what's your favorite?

EDIT: Wow, I screwed up and accidentally included the Eta-2 to the poll TWICE. I'm an idiot.

Jedi Starfighter is my favorite. Great design and it shoots ass.

In Battlefront II I like to pilot the Droid Tri-Fighter and the one Grievous had.

I spend much time in the Belbullab-22 in Battlefront II (I can't remember what it is called in that game) as I loved played Mygeeto Space, flying into the enemy's hanger with a gunship, destroy their systems, hop into their bomber, and take out their surface systems. Great times.

I'm a fan of the ARC-170. It's a bigger fighter and it holds three people. It seems like it would be fun to fly with some buddies.

I chose the baboon fighter because it just looks stupidly fast when it's still .

ARC-170's were pretty neat. They were a mixture of the Y-wing, and X-wing fighters. They had S-foils like X-wings, and could hold more than one person like Y-wings.

As much as I liked them they seemed a tad bulky for my tastes...

Yeah, for how bulky and big the 170's were they could barely take a hit. They had pretty heavy weaponry, and their jammers and scanners though were really powerful. Bit of a trade off. I liked the look of them, I don't really know too much about the other prequal ships.

It's funny I always thought this one was a predecessor to the x wing

    They are.
While I liked the 170 at the time, some of my enthusiasm for the design has waned. Mostly due to the fact I don't like the nose. And I feel that the s-foils on this were there simply to reference the X-Wing and they seem like they are just...there. I dunno, eye of the beholder.

Someone told me a while ago that hear simply paid homage as you said and have barely a relation to the x-wing .

"The ARC-170 also possessed an S-foil system, which helped to radiate heat, something that aided the fighter's shielding. This also provided additional stability during atmospheric flight" S-foils arent there to pay homage to the xwings they were on multple crafts including Xwings, Bwings, Jedi starfighters, ARC-170s, V wings. They are there to help in high tense situations.

Does the Droid Gunship count? I ask because you didn't include it and it was a cool fighter type ship from ROTS.

It's a type of airspeeder, so it doesn't count as a starfighter. In a way, it is similar to the LAAT/i (though unlike in Battlefront II, they can't carry troops).
It is a cool design, though.

I'm going with the Delta-7. Despite my issues and grievances with the PT, I really like the hyperspace ring, and the sleek design of the ship. It's pretty neat.

N-1 Naboo Starfighter. It's romantic, yet has an adventure like vibe to it.

Eta-2 for sure, but a close second is the Z-95 Headhunter. X-Wing vibes all throughout the design.

I really like the Sith Infiltrator. Looked menacing and one of precursor to the TIE but larger.
