    Just picture locked over a week ago. The screener for the MPAA isn't ready. Often movies aren't rated until a few weeks before release.

    going back a bit but my OT DVD`s from 2004 still have the old U rating (Got to love the 70/80`s Aliens getting arms chopped of various massacres & brother sister relationships all got a U rating)

    I going to guess they maybe one or two scenes that are to high for a PG where in Spector most scenes would qualify as a 12A so even with the same rating it wont be as violent as Spector

    Going just from what we've seen so far and Finn saying "Hell no" when Han asked him if he's ready, I think it's going to be PG-13

    Seems to be a pretty obvious rating of PG-13 to me. Lots of dark stuff in this movie, from plot to tone. PG isn't impossible, but I'd be thoroughly surprised given what we've seen so far.

    I guess there is nothing to worry about.
    I suspect that Disney gives the movie to the rating board very close to the release date to avoid that plot details getting leaked.
    It would be disaster it the plot gets leaked before the premiere, but they have to show the movie very soon to get rate.
    By the way I guess that the americans don't care so much about the rating anyway.
    It will be kids friendly, no doubt.

    yep defiantly going in a PG13 - 12A direction also the village scene is going to get pretty nasty be the look of it as I don't think any of them survive the visit by the FO

    My tickets which I bought on Oct. 19th and picked up on Nov. 7th list the rating as PG-13. Most likely this is the rating the filmmakers are expecting or shooting for since it hasn't gone thru the MPAA ratings process yet.

    Wait.. how did I get a "Pessimistic" rating for this? I wasn't saying it's a bad thing, I'd prefer to have a PG-13 movie anyway. I actually LIKE the tone. It's a good thing..
