    it all seems to sort of happen nearby, unless finn isnt fighting phasma where poe's x-wing is blown up, but i think that is the case...poe finds his new x-wing and blows phasma away as theyre all tired and worn out, so he assists finn and they get away together before the ship blows up

    Meh, he was toying with Rey also; fight could have been over anytime he wanted then. Not sure that that means anything in the grand scheme of things or that it is germane to my earlier point.

    I've heard the rumor about the arm, I still don't get how he takes her arm off with that riot baton. Maybe the fight evolves and he gets around to using electro-axe.

    My earnest hope is that he beats her and is done with it...

    Unless... one of the theories that's bouncing around in the Finn thread could also be true of Phasma (i.e. that both Finn and Phasma are Force Resistant). Then I'd love to see a 4 way melee battle between Finn and Rey versus Kylo and Phasma. I'd buy tickets years in advance to see that.

    I wouldn't call Cardinal the best stormtrooper (That has always been Phasma) he was just head of the child training program until Pharma beat rather easily.

    I don't think the fight will be resolved in this movie. I think Finn faced the worst FO has to offer when he faced Kylo. He survived, albeit not by much, but he is not going to be intimidated by Phasma now. He seems very determined. Plus, in Before Awakening, Phasma thinks he has a potential to become an officer because he is at the top of his class. So, I thing he gets the advantage, but then something happens to separate them (the ship is obviously exploding around them) or he is required elsewhere (to help Rose or Rey) and he has to choose to abandon the fight. Unless Phasma flips on FO (she is a survivor and cares only for herself), I think that this conflict will be resolved in IX.

    But, I also like this idea:
