JJ is a smart guy..he understands why these movies resonate with people. Doesn't necessarily mean he can replicate it but his track record is good and his understanding gives me great hope.

 

Yes his reputation is at stake on each projects his takes on, the fact they he has worked on both Star Trek & Star Wars is amazing alone.

 

This makes the lack luster of Force Friday make more sense. I posted just last week wondering if we had seen everything, all the new characters and new ships.

 

I think we are in good hands with both JJ and KK as president. Am a bit worried about KK
hiring Trevorrow although I am also a bit nervous about JJ for VII. Am sure KK will step in if the story starts heading towards the prequel levels of criticisms she is the boss after all.

 

Wonder who's the artist of the Hasbro packaging.

 

Why so? Do you like or dislike? I really like the face part of it, looks good.

 

And this ladies and gentleman is why you should not be disappointed in the lack of marketing for our old heroes or be concerned that they aren't in the movie. Buckle up. It will be here soon.

BTW, he's really overcompensating when talking about the market. Hasbro's primary target is little boys. We see that in their erasure of women or otherwise sending women to the back of the line in how they market their products in these big movie franchises.

 

Well technically the toys/dialogue we've seen/heard could be making an appearance in the Fall trailer. In fact, given that the first two teasers only showed images that had already leaked, I'd say it's likely the trailer will feature characters and some of the dialogue from the Force Friday toy collection, and probably not feature a new reveal.

 

I know I want a trailer now, but I also understand why we aren't getting official info oit.theynwant to preserve the film for us as much as possible.
Similiar with the toys etc.
Same with the soundtrack.
If people want spoilers, then they know where to go.It is the whole reason LFL and Disney haven't taken any sites down for spoilers.yes, some images and such have popped up, but Disney wont waste time cause they know if you shut one site down, another pops its head up.
I think we have a great movie coming!

 

I really like the design of the new packaging.
The artwork makes it so 'vibrant retro pulpy', for a lack of better words, think FlashGordon/Indiana Jones and 70s/80s VHS and book covers.

I bought a Phasma figure just to put her in packaging on my wall or someplace.

 

You're exaggerating a bit too much here. We've heard three characters' voices at this point: Kylo, Finn, and Phasma. Are they instantly recognizable characters to SW fans? Yes. But being recognizable doesn't mean half the cast. And we've heard their voices, it's not going to take away for my enjoyment of the film. Also, a ton of lines? We hear some lines, not a ton, and we don't know the context of them. We can speculate on what the importance is of Kylo Ren saying, "I’m immune to the light." Sure it'll give you a hint, and hopefully start discussion, but that's really about it. It's not like Kylo said, "Luke's my dad" or "I killed Han!"

If anything, these are easter eggs and harmless.

 

This has a lot of different levels of intrigue to it. I'll let you read and make your own assumptions...

 

I'd have to agree with this. We still don't know much other than Kylo is a baddie, and seems to be pretty powerful.

 

The Hasbro packages remind me of the Masters of the Universe toys. Too bad the toys aren't so hot.
