There's no doubt that in a short time Grogu has become a cultural phenomenon and major part of Star Wars. It's very unlikely Grogu is going away in the Mandoverse and it's impossible to believe they'll kill the character. Given how long Grogu can live it seems inevitable that he'll show up in future films.

    That raises a few questions:

    1) Where is Grogu during the sequel trilogy?
    2) Grogu is around 76 years ago at the end of sequel trilogy. How much more developed will he be at this point?
    3) Given Grogu's long life span would he be more important to building the new Jedi Order?
    4) Grogu was born around the same time as Anakin. Is there any significance to that fact that will be explored?

Do you think Grogu will be featured in new films? How so, and is this something you want? Welcome to the Grogu Cinematic Universe.

You know, all jokes aside, that could actually be a road that gets taken. Anakin brought "Balance" by boosting the Dark Side and then tipped the scale by virtually eliminating the Jedi and the Light. Now comes Grogu to bring "Balance" by reigniting the Light and eliminating the Dark. Yin and Yang.
    Balance.

I hope that never happens. I really do. I already have issues with some of the unnecessary changes made by Disney to the Star Wars saga. But to do this . . . to make the identity of the Chosen One less ambiguous and easier to swallow is just a cop out to me.

Well, I see your point about The Chosen One. The ambiguity of it is something that I kinda like about the Big Story as well. But, I think that setting Grogu's story into an arc that maybe even hints that he is the "other side" of the Myth could be done without changing or harming the story as it's been told. If done right, it could smooth some of those rough edges, sorta fill in some of the story, without changing anything. Truth be told, I would say Favreau would have to be the one to make that happen, and nothing he has done so far, shows any sign that he would do anything to tear down the Saga or anything in the Canon.
Now let's be realistic, there is an enormous chasm between this idea and where we are now. There is a long road to make until this could be done properly. That being said, whether it involves Grogu being the Light to Anakin's Dark or not, I truly think that Favreau, Filoni and their Gang are going to play a major part in connecting ALL of the SW Stories and correcting some of those "wrong turns" that have been taken the last 25 or so years. I know it's easy to put the blame on Disney, but let's not forget that The Maker himself, Mr. Lucas has tossed a few turds into the soup.

The Chosen One stuff isn't getting changed. Anakin ended the Sith and brought balance and his grandson and Rey prevented the Sith from returning through Palpatine.
This is a good point and rebuilding the Jedi Order is a part of the new balance. Anakin destroyed the broken machine that led to Palpatine's rise, but Grogu can now rebuilt it. When Favreau had the idea for Grogu, Filoni was concered at first, but I do think Lucas gave his blessing and I would not be surprised that a long term idea was discussed.

Lucasfilm has a unique opportunity to build things in the Mandoverse to set up what happens post Sequel Trilogy. This is in Filoni's wheelhouse so I can't wait to see how this plays out over the next 10 years Lord willing I'm able to see it.
