As with ALL Star Wars content, how good it will be will depend on the script. I'm a tad bit concerned that the early word was that Favreau had turned his screenplays for Season 4 into this movie. But we'll see.

I guess I can't expect everything out of the Favreau-Filoni collaboration to be AS PERFECT as Mando Season 1, Ep.1-3 and all of Season 2---but one can hope!

 

I heard it's going to be a western but set in southeastern north highlands of Nevarro.

 

Predictions. Grogu will ride the mythosaur and will either merge with the force at some stage or wind up in the WBW. Effectively putting him in stasis until he is ever needed by LFL again. Kind of like Ezra was. Putting a stop to all the "does that mean Kylo will just kill him..." hand wringing.

 

Grogu will travel with the hyperspace whales to that there other galaxy, and will be stranded there with Ashoka, along with the many other survivors of Order 66 that will be revealed to be still be knocking around all this time, and with any and all of the Clone Wars and Rebels characters with any Force sensitivity who also end up there, all to explain their absence in the sequel trilogy but somehow still being alive and not getting killed off. Mace Windu will be there too.

Then they will return for shows that take place after the events of the Rise Of Skywalker. Rey will be killed in her movie, so she won't be in them, except maybe as a ghost in a special guest role.

I get goosebumps just thinking about that scene done with a feature film CGI budget.

The Volume was -- and still is -- revolutionary but it has its limitations as was evident in Mando S3 and TBoBF. Also, it you are going to show realistic kick-butt war scenes, you need a feature film budget. Those stories would have been far superior as feature films.

 

I don't think a mythosaur would fit on the volume stage anyway. Plus, think of the mess.

Fun fact - "wales" just means a person or thing from another land/place, or the otherness of the place itself.

Even better!... Hyperspace Whales is Morfilod Gorgofod in Welsh.
