Well it is more than just brain washing, if you can call it that. The one who is flow-walking can walk around in the past and future but they are visible/ can be sensed in the Force by the people in the past/future. So one could go to a battlefield and watch it from any direction he/she wants.
Or also you know if one thinks something in the past happened the way they remembered but while flow-walking they see it was different.

And the virgin birth. Yes, the whole Messianic parallel was retroactively included, but since it's already there and Vader is apparently being worshiped why not go all the way?

 

The entire Galaxy would have to worship him if that was to happen.

 

Like Starbuck in the reimagined BSG, he has to come back because his purpose was not fulfilled and then he just vanishes at the end

 

I also partially don't think that Hayden would even want to come back, while it didn't destroy his career, it stalled his career...and also I think it's a slap in the face that NONE of The PT actors were invited to the premier, not even Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor...PLUS, would JJ and KK ALLOW it to happen with Johnson and Treverrow since its "for the fans ?"

 

You'd think they'd at least have invited SLJ. Wow.

Knowing Disney, they knew Carrie would be there no matter what but they apparently didn't bother to be aware of how much she would need to be censored...I saw a video of it after the fact and it was hilarious to watch the host's face like, "...my career is over."

 

I was actually just thinking about this today! I would love to see Hayden get a chance to play a redeemed Anakin, and counsel Luke/Rey. To see father and son have a relationship, and act a scene together, would be wonderful, and would tie up the three trilogies nicely. I really do hope they do this. It hurts to say I doubt they'll do it, though. Seems like a risky thing to do, considering the PT backlash. But Luke and Anakin having a scene together? What an awesome idea. Could lead to people liking Anakin's character a bit more.

Quick, somebody show this thread to RJ! Plant the seed!

the script is done, the shooting schedule is planned, sets and costumes are probably quite close to being ready...

I doubt anyting like TFA will happen again. Not the whole shot list. Hopefully no disgruntled employees again this time. I imagine we'll still get leaked concepts and story bits though, as before. Maybe a concept art piece of Hayden?

 

Not a bad idea to bring a (short one) scene with Anakin, but I'd love the scene with Obi-Wan's ghost. He's my favourite character of the entire saga. Maybe a scene involving conversation of Luke, Anakin and Obi-Wan together?

 

I agree. Heck, I'd say all three of the RotJ Force Ghost mentors, as long as it wouldn't be too much at once, or too... cheesy or fan-service-y. After all, Luke has likely been in contact with all three throughout the years. Or maybe that stopped after the Academy attack? Who knows. If he was meant to wait for Rey, he likely was in contact/counsel/training with them. If he wasn't supposed to wait, maybe they stopped visiting.

 

Abstractly speaking, I love this idea, and I think it would be insanely cool to see. However, there would be some problematic continuity issues if they did this. Would they try to make Ewan look exactly like Alec Guinness? I guess if they could pull that off then at least it would line up with the state the force ghosts are in at the end of RotJ, but anyone who was not as familiar with that movie would be asking why Luke's father is so young and why Obi-Wan changes.

 

Ewan probably looks enough like Sir Alec that it wouldn't matter. He's also a great Obi-Wan in his own right, so it wouldn't be a real complaint. If they made him up as Old Ben, he'd look fairly similar. And Anakin, as a Force Ghost, was young, as his uncorrupted self was young, before falling to the Dark Side. Minor issues, hardly worth mentioning
