HELP OLD HAN SOLO SAVE YOUNG HAN SOLO!

    Today Disney released its shortlist for leads in the Han Solo spinoff film. Without naming any names, it's safe to say NONE of them come close to approximating ANYTHING that made Harrison Ford so memorable in the role. I don't think it's possible to find his perfect cross section of rugged good looks, endless charm, and acting chops that Mr. Ford represents. That is why I think we should get Harrison Ford himself to star in the film about young Han Solo. It's the only hope we have for an authentic Solo on-screen. And if we band together I think we can make it happen.

    One question though...How would Harrison Ford star in a 'young' Han Solo movie? He's an old man...This petition doesn't make any sense. Disney's gonna make the movie, and it's gonna star a young hunky actor, probably an unknown. He probably won't nail the role, and there will probably be a lot of haters.

    Sorry guys, but that's the world we're living in.

    There's de-aging tech that's been around for the better part of a decade and it's only gotten better with time even with things like voice manipulation to de age his own voice and ILM is ALWAYS sat the forefront of technology so it's not entirely out of the question but I do agree that this will be a new actor nonetheless and we haven't seen how they'll blend the actor into the role yet as we've only seen the actor on how they look in general .

    Yeah, it just seems unlikely to me. I agree that the shortlist looks pretty rough and none of the new actors will nail it. But an entirely CGI Han Solo would suck more than a new actor playing him, IMO.

    If for some reason the film is animated, they could pull it off. But otherwise I wouldn't be down for Harrison as young Solo. Just my opinion.

    It seems like the best course of action is to let the new actor have a new take on the character (ala James Bond, who is played by several different actors)...or to just not do this movie. I vote for the second option.

    I don't think people understand how expensive and in it's infancy the whole de-aging technology is. You can't make a whole movie like that. Plus it'll look off because the face will have a lot of CGI on it. Ingruber all the way.
