    Okay, last chance for spoilers...

How does the World Between Worlds work? Like, what are the rules for it? I know a few years ago when Rebels featured it, people had strong feelings about how it works, but I'm not sure I recall the specifics.

I think Ahsoka's "saving" is obviously the best we can go on right now, so what exactly happened there?

    - Was Ahsoka originally killed, and Ezra changed the timeline?

    - Did Ezra pluck an Ahsoka from another timeline?

    - Or, was Ahsoka always saved, because that's what would've happened? if Ezra had managed to stick around on Malachor and watch Ahsoka and Vader's duel, might he have seen himself actually plucking Ahsoka in?

As I've always understood it, the final option makes the most sense. I don't believe the World Between Worlds can let you actually change past events, unless that's already something you already did.

So, I think this means that the timeline is not getting "reset" (TFM is frankly pretty nuts for thinking this would ever happen). Also, Ahsoka is not saving Anakin.

I kinda have my doubts this is even the literal World Between World we saw in Rebels (possibly just a hallucination using iconography that's linked to her), and I have my doubts that if it is, this is even actually Anakin.

If it is a flesh and blood Anakin... my only guess is that somehow Anakin entered the WBW, possibly on Mortis. This could be really big... Ahsoka could either tragically not reveal anything to Anakin about his future... or, she could lay the groundwork for Vader's eventual redemption.

Or, she might accidentally act as a catalyst to Anakin's downfall if she's not careful.

Anyway...thoughts on how the WBW works? Theories on how it might play into next episode?

Excellent on starting this. The World Between Worlds absolutely deserves its own thread at least. I'm currently going back and watching the WBW episodes of Rebels again just to clarify a few things and I may add the Mortis arc from TCW just for good measure, although I truly do not think that is going to figure much into this. There are some really fun and interesting theories and speculation on how this is all going to work into this series and the lore/Canon moving forward, and I'm excited to see the discussion here.

Be back soon with some ideas.

The Mortis Arc is TCW s3 ep. 15-17 (aka. 315-317).
A World Between Worlds is Rebels s4 ep. 13 (aka. 413).

For Rebels I also watched S4 E12 for more context and S4 E15 has some WBW also, so I just watched eps 12-15 really great in relation to Ahsoka

    So I've watched Rebels 12 to 14.
I still have to watch ep15 and the Mortis Arc from TCW.

Speaking of the Mortis family, I have a question :

The Son reminds me a lot from the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels.
Is there some kind of relation between The Son and the Paula'an ?

I remember this being a big point of discussion back in 2018.

Ultimately, I think the consensus among fans was:

    1) There's no explicit connection
1a) While there are some similarities, the designs are far from identical, anyway.

    2) It's possible that the Grand Inquisitor was somehow aware of the Son, and modeled his likeness after him.

    3) It's some sort of case of parallel thought or fate.

One question on "the thing" :
In Rebels, S4 EP 13, Ezra and Ahsoka are in the WBW.
    Enters the Emperor.
How the Hell that latter entered the WBW ?
    From which point ?

Has this been stated somewhere ?

I don't think that was ever stated anywhere.

I assumed he was physically at the Sith temple, below the Jedi temple (the Imperial Palace), on Coruscant.

How? "The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural."
