How Much of What We Think We Know is Accurate?

IMO I think it's fairly certain (as certain as any rumour can be) that Luke has been gone for a while and is having trouble dealing with his powers-I say that purely because I've read it on numerous sources, although they may all be quoting one another!

Also, I do think personally that someone (Luke/Sith villain) will be trying to 'invoke' Vader in some way, either through taking up his Sith ways or reawaking his spirit in some way.

 

There are a few things that are a lock.
R2 & C3PO make it thru all 3 films(or until the end).
The Falcon is destroyed or seriously damaged.
Some huge object or ship blows up above the desert bar/town.
There is a wooded/forest world, a desert planet, a swamp/jungle type planet then the "climax" is in a castle-medevil type structure or building.

 

Definitely some misinformation out there. I think Luke going into voluntary exile is probably true. I don't think I've seen a single report disputing it. Daisy living in the ATAT true. Still don't know if I believe Adam Driver is the villain yet.

 

I think that the facts are:
Boyega being stormtrooper/pilot who deserted and crashed on Tatooine
Daisy live inside AT-AT, finds Boyega and together go to Cantina.
Leia being a politician
Han and Chewbacca still together, meet at some point Boyega and Ridley, probably on Tatooine.
there is still Empire or remnants of the Empire
There are rebels, but probably called "pirates"
Adam Driver is secondary villain, probably manipulated to act like a villain, but not knowing of that he does bad things
Luke definitely exiled, due to last 3 days filming shaved he returns once again to save the day
Battle between Boyega+Ridley and Grave Robber (Driver)
primary evil dude shows just briefly, possibly at the end of the movie (Cumberbatch?)
someone dies (Han, Leia?)

 

While I think that is all correct, not all of that has been exactly confirmed.

 

I know - it´s just so many rumours direct me to this conclusion that it would be big surprise if any of this is wrong...

 

I'd add that JJ Abrams will have a "inside joke" of the "Han Shoots First" scene.

If it were me, It'd be clever and a big nod to Raiders if Han blasts a Sith or bad guy yielding a big light-saber.

Id keep it low key, like when Yoda casually walks into Palpatine's chamber & uses a flip Force move to slam his Royal Guards.
I like the way Lucas did that.

 

That would be sooo cool!!
He could even kinda make a throwaway comment on it, something like:
"I learned years ago to shoot first, kid"

But well, I think we should all wait for the teaser, then ALOT stuff will be blast and some of it true!

 

I was thinking about this earlier and I wouldn't be completely disappointed if the bulk of what we have "confirmed" for us is false.

The idea of walking into the theater knowing exactly how everything will pan out doesn't seem particularly appealing, though I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to know. Would be really interesting to walk into the theater thinking I know how everything will go only to have something completely come out of left field and blow me away.

They've done pretty well keeping a lid on things to be honest. At this stage, all three prequel scripts had been leaked in some shape or form.
Everything we know so far has come from (so far as I can tell) leaked artwork, verbal accounts passed on through a third party from people in some way connected to staff or other companies linked to the production, and knowledge of location shooting with a few sneaky set pics tossed in for good measure.

Depends what people think we think we think we know, I suppose.

Given what I've seen since the prequel circus first rode into town, the "leaks" usually turn out to have firm foundations in the truth.
The speculation based on the leaks is usually wildly off target...

 

I still think the twist on Han shoot's first will be an oh my god tragic one, but that's just me
