How much time passed between jabba's palace and the rest of rotj?

I'd say about a week, you off course could read wookieepedia & find out., IMO Bib Fortuna took over, Lando had a word with Mon Mothma to promote his pirate buddy & Luke was still preparing for his final confrontation with his daddy.

 

I always assumed it was a few weeks to a month or so.

I've always been more curious about how much time passed between leaving Hoth and arriving at Bespin.

 

They were after all flying around in space without the use of the broken hyperdrive.

 

I'm pretty sure Han's promotion took little more than a flick of Leia's wrist. But I'd wager a few weeks.

I think "offically", though (i.e. according to Lucas), each movie takes places within a few days. That makes no sense to me, though, especially when it comes to The Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith.

 

I think a week or so. Luke doesn't train with Yoda, and Yoda passes away, but he at least spends the night. Give Han a few days or so to get back to the nerfherder self he is, and then add a day to gather the fleet, so 5 to 7 days is my guess. Longer than a few, but not too long.

 

Actually, that makes perfect sense to me. I always saw that whole Dagobah detour in RotJ like a trip to the store, not a return for the last bit of training. I'm willing to bet that he'd been training ever since ESB left off.

As for Han's promotion to General, I saw it like a field promotion. "Welp, Captain Solo is back from the clutches of the most dangerous gangster in the galaxy, and one of our generals was just killed by a Gundark. Welcome back, General Solo!"
