    Just as the title says, how will he react to her? TFA showed that the Jedi were wiped out, Luke's on his own and then suddenly a young woman, a Sensitive, shows up with his lightsaber.

    I think could somewhat see it in his face already: sort of a resignation or even disturbance?

    What makes me especially interested is Rey's history with him. TFA hints that there might be something that connects her with Luke, but it is not spelled out clearly. How will this be dealt picks my curiosity.

    Also, if he has been in recluse for years, he must have become a bit of an hermit. I wonder how he re-adjusts with other people...?

    I think a lot of this depends on whether she was at his Jedi academy when she was a toddler. There's always the blood relation thing too.

    I meant for this thread to be in the VIII section. Luke just looks at her in TFA so how will he respond to her in the next movie?

    Finding the map and finding him was a test. It was a right of passage. This is how many hero stories start. She has deemed herself worthy of his training.

    To be fair, if Rey is his daughter, he could have planted the seeds knowing she would be the one to show up when she was ready.
