Id give it an 8 or 9. the first portion of the episode I wasn't too into, but by the end I was completely in love.

One of the things I really liked about it is that for just about every answer it gave, it opened up one or more questions. Half the fun of Star Wars for me is the places it takes the imagination, like how the OT left so many questions that turned into what is now legends (and the PT), thats how this felt for me. It wrapped up this story, but left room for others to be told in the future.

I am disappointed with Thrawns performance. We didn't see how his mastermind crushed those rebels once and for all.

As he said he doesn't understand force and it has turned his real lack of ability to dominate the rebels. If legends thrawn would have been here, he has studied Jedi arts and possible skills after he faced the Bendu and learned something.

There were things I felt were rushed towards the season finale but the ending left me feeling hopeful and elated. Also, I love the expansion of force lore, especially the part where Palpatine tempts Ezra.

    - I look forward to learning more about Ahsoka and Sabine's journey to find Ezra. (glad he wasn't bumped off)
    - Specter 7 is adorable, and I hope Ezra gets to train him someday like his father once trained Ezra.
    - So Rex could have been Nik Sant and present on Endor after all... :)
    - I'm not disappointed by Thrawn's exit as I think his story is only beginning to be told...hopefully we'll get to see him during the events of the ST.
    - I like how Kallus and Zeb's story ends as well, leaving it open to interpretation whether theirs is a story of friendship and forgiveness or something more. :D

I think Thrawn's character and strategy weren't utilized well, I'd agree. But I mean, when he's fighting a small rag tag bunch of Rebels, he doesn't really need to use strategy. Kinda like how once Ulysses S. Grant was general in chief of the Union during the American Civil War, his main battle tactic was just to throw soldiers at the south until they won. The North simply had a ton of men, and he realized that advantage as something that meant unavoidable victory.

So yeah, when it really comes down to it, Thrawn maybe wasn't a great villain to use for this series, since we rarely ever got to see him actually be in an underdog situation and use tactics to come out on top (which is basically the entirety of his book). I guess his best moment was in the S3 finale, but even then the Rebels were badly outgunned.

That being said, I like how he was eventually defeated- space whales from the skies is probably the most unconventional tactic we've seen in Star Wars, and you'll need to be unconventional to defeat Thrawn.

I don't really remember, what was his warning?

Anyhow, I'm also on the edge between content and elateted. Felt a little bit too conventional that Ezra could signal a frequency and then the space whales knew exactly what was going on. Is his connection so strong that he commuincated with them even though they're in a completely different part of the galaxy? Maybe I missed something, and afterall Yoda felt order 66 eventhough he was miles away the jedi being killed.

Other than that I loved it! Especially the ending with Ahsoka showing up, and the confirmation that Rex was part of Endor, just such cool little bits that I personally really like.

I liked a lot about the finale, though I have some problems with it. The overall story had a really good ending, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the character's stories go from here, and how they'll continue. The action was great. All of the plotlines came together, and even minor characters I thought had been forgotten got to come back. Palpatine had a cool presence in the episode, and when those Guardsmen came out I was legit like "Yoooooooo!"

I don't understand what was going on in that fragment of the temple though, or why Palps would want Ezra to enter it. At first I thought he was just playing Ezra to make him give into his base desires, but then the episode made it seem like it was an actual time portal that Palpatine was still able to put together, which raises the numerous questions of why he'd waste it just trying to get Ezra to become evil.

I am also against Kanan and Hera's interspecies kid. I was never a fan of it when people mistook those Twi'lek kids and their Clone Stepdad as hybrids, and I don't like it now. It's just way past my suspension of disbelief. I can believe in a lot of stuff in this universe, but two species from completely different ecosystems making a viable child is just so impossible scientifically that it kind of makes me just think, "Ew."

Edit: Also how the hell are Ezra and Thrawn supossed to survive with the glass on that bridge canopy broken? Don't give me a "Leia did it," answer, because while Leia certainly was able to pull herself back to the Raddus, she didn't have a squad of Stormtroopers waiting on the other side of that door.

Currently stuck between 7 and 8. Great ending for Hera, Callus and Zeb. I really hope we're gonna see more of Ahsoka, Sabine, Ezra and Thrawn in the future.
On point I have is that, while it was great to see the characters post-Endor, I would've prefered that Endor wasn't mentioned. Because I wanted to have my (future) kids watch the series first, and only then R1 and the OT :)

Wow, that's some really cool foreshadowing. These last episodes has really showed that Filoni and crew are playing the long-game, which I really like.

    Thanks for the link!

I'll give it a 7. It was good, I liked the battle scenes. The wolves tearing up Stormtroopers. The reunion of the entire cast (besides Kanan) including the Ugnaught dude. I think Kallus in season4 was under used, but he played an important role in the mission.

Thrawn didn't live up to the hype. I never read the books, so I was curious to see how B.A he was but he just let the Rebels go all of the time. In the finale he did use his ruthlessness to entice Ezra to surrender, which was smart.

Meh didn't care for the happy ending. (Insert grumpy cat meme) How there are surviving Jedi besides Luke after ROTJ. Hera's kid. The idea that the Empire wouldn't try to recapture Lothal to punish them.

For me, the finale was so inconclusive that I had to go online and double-check if it was really the ending. Rather than bringing closure to the series, it's almost like they just want to reboot the same idea into the ST (Star Wars Resistance?). It doesn't make sense that Ahsoka, Ezra, Thrawn, and Hera's son are all alive and yet somehow are never mentioned in the movies.

It was awesome to see Ian McDiarmid back as the Emperor, but I'm disappointed that there was no appearance from Vader, and unless I'm forgetting something, didn't they just completely abandon the new Inquisitors? I don't understand what the Emperor was trying to accomplish with Ezra. Why would he send him back to his family? Would this go back in time and weaken the Rebellion? I didn't think SW even had time travel...?

I know some people disagree, but I still think the ST copies way too much from the OT, and now it looks like the next animated series may also just be a copy of Rebels.

There was no mistaking. Those kids were human/twi'lek hybrids.

I voted in the 6-8 group but I'd give it the 8. It tied up the story well with possibilities for future stories with these characters so it was great way to end the series.

I would give it a 7. It was a strong finale without being that jaw dropping. I like how it’s left the door open for a new series which could move totally away from the resistance vs empire story into something completely new & different with the hunt for Ezra.

But that's impossible. The war was only 3 years, and that kid was definitely older than 3. Not to mention that took episode place earlier in the war because all the clones were in phase I armor.

They weren't Cut's kids. They were some other human's children. I guess that TwiLek just had human-fever.
